Matt Mosley: Carson Wentz or Dak Prescott will be Cowboys' future quarterback

Knowing Jerry, he would actually try to go for a running QB. We already had our Quincy Carter. I wouldn't doubt he would try again.

The only way I would ever take a running QB is if I didn't even have any QB on the roster and the only QB in the draft was a running QB. Otherwise, give me a pro style QB or give me death.

I don't think it's Jerry - I think it's Garrett.

Not necessarily a running QB, but one who is mobile. Think Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, etc. Guys who can get out of the pocket when the play breaks down, or by design, and then beat you with their arm or their legs.

It's why a lot of people think RGIII is a backup possibility. Colt McCoy can move a little bit too.

This continual Prescott noise is beginning to concern me.

Me too. He is a GOOD kid and I like him as a person but....don't think he has what it takes to take us to a SB. Hope I'm wrong because if he's there in the 3rd, I think they'll draft him. I'd have no problem in the 4th...but not the 3rd. He's similar to Hackenberg....a developmental guy. 4th round or lower IMO

Doubt it.. Too many teams need a QB..

I wouldn't be shocked if Hackenberg finds his way into the first as well.

I don't know, when you factor in all the FA QB and those available by trade some of these guys may indeed fall.

I have.he can't hit the sidelines with touch and strength.those throws will be picked off in the NFL.he really does remind me of Tebow.

Well, every single professional talent evaluator disagrees with your armchair take, so...I'll side with the pros.

His biggest problem has been sloppy footwork which was exacerbated by a terrible offensive line in college. And was still able to complete 61.6% of his passes and lead in passing and rushing.

Not sure about that. Supposedly he used excuses in his interviews (even if valid) that turned some teams off. If he goes in the first, it is only because of the option year.

3rd round.

Dak Prescott, as you said, meets all the Cowboys' requirements for a selection, though. He's apparently an infectious leader with a great personality of high character, and he's one of the hardest working guys in the room. Work ethic, leadership, character, love of the game = RKG.

Can't play QB very well but who cares?

Details details

Funny thing...In that article...it is saying now that there are some club"s" who rate Cook Higher than Lynch.

I don't doubt it
Cook might turn out to be a very very good NFL QB

He would be my # 4 QB

Lynch can be a boon or bust prospect

2014 - Manziel's on the board. Romo's two years younger with 6 or 7 years to play going by the team's recently sworn oath. Stephen has to half nelson Jerry into taking Martin instead. Jerry tells Stephen immediately afterward this is what losers do.

2016 - Sitting at 4. 3 QBs who could literally contract MS and have a better NFL future than Manziel are in the class. "Romo's got 4 or 5 more years, we will make all draft decisions accordingly, QB is not a priority and that's not a damn debate, guys."

Go Cowboys.

You are obviously upset
Say "Cornerback, cornerback, cornerback...." 500 times
It will make you feel better

Just say no to Dak Prescott.

Where is No Dak when we need him? All this time he has the perfect screen name.

He is s RKG that does not have the talent to play QB in he pros.

This is why I think Jerry is smokescreenong, it's our only hope.

But see, you are forgetting half the silly debate that went on inside Jerry's bizarre head.

Jerry saw Manziel as a giant goldmine off the field. Flamboyant, Texas kid, who played for the local Aggies, won a Heisman, etc. He saw the dollar signs from pimping him out left and right. I truly believe Jerry was as much on the Manziel train for the marketing potential as much as it was just thinking he could be a great NFL QB.

And FWIW, this time around, I think Jerry is trying to hoodwink people. I think if Stephen and McClay think there's a QB available at 4 that is worth that pick, it's a realistic possibility.

Paxton Lynch at #34 is a real possibility.

Don't see it. No way he makes it out of the 1st round imo. I still think he goes top 20, but at worst a team like Arizona would scoop him up quickly towards the end of the 1st. Palmer is aging quickly and Bruce Arians loves big, strong-armed QB's.
