You mean, we might need to find a player as great as Dunbar?

Okay. Ervin in the draft.

Next.

Has there ever been as much pretend support for a player as you guys try to gin up over Lance Dunbar? And for no reason at all? I can't recall a similar case.

If we weren't willing to give $7m AAV to Murray then we are certainly not going to give it to a draftpick. The price is controlled but last year the 4th pick got over $6m. The cap went up significantly.

Not if they think Elliott can be the better player. And the reason they didn't pay DeMarco was because he was already 27 at the time with a history of being injured a lot. Right now, if I had the option of taking a 20 year old Elliott or a 27 year old Murray for the same price, I'm taking Elliott all day every day. Maybe that's what the front office is thinking. Doesn't seem too outlandish to me.

Sorry for going off-topic in this thread.

Chip at work again trying to get our players away from us.

That's fine losing Dunbar may help push the front office in drafting a decent RB

The same folks who are saying leave Lance, are the same people who were saying him being hurt was a huge reason we lost last year!! Funny

They didn't want to give it to Murray because I'd wear and tear and his age.

I'm going by what I think the Jones will actually do. Listening to Stephen talk about the position relative to the rest of the roster and Jerry talk about rookie contracts I just don't see them taking a shot at a rookie as opposed to the reigning NFC POTY.

If you like the player and want to dream don't let me stop you.

I personally think he is inferior to Gurley and about on par with Gordon from last year and not worth 4. After a trade down sure but, I would rather take Henry in the second or Smith in the third. I think Smith is a better blocker than Elliott. Henry has the power that Elliott lacks.
