Our institutional secrecy is terrible

Unlike other teams (New England comes to mind), it seems like other teams know who our picks are going to be before we make them. Unlike San Diego with Bosa, pretty much everyone knew we wanted Zeke. Likewise, CLE and TEN seemed to know we wanted Ogbah and Dodd. And Oakland traded up above us for Cook and the Dallas war room was deflated. Maybe it's because we typically draft who visits us, or maybe it's because we are too cozy with local media guys like Werder or Broaddus who leak what they are "hearing." But this is becoming a big problem IMO.

I agree. I also thought it was a terrible strategy to show we were interested in a QB at 4. I believe that's part of the reason the Rams and eagles traded up to one and two. To make sure Dallas didn't get a good young QB

I hate it, man. This must be addressed.

Well, this has been systematic. Some might say "loose lips..." and we all understand Jerry, for the most part, just can't help himself, but it doesn't seem to be something they're unable to remedy. Has this not proven to be their preferred methodology?

Seriously? I do not think we were going to draft Cook. If we were, we would have reached him in the third (like we did with Zeke and Jaylon)

We need to hire someone from Apple. ;)
Jones love the attention.

Oakland knowing we might want to take Cook is a big win.

He's a bum. I'd rather have Tapper.

I don't think anyone saw our 2nd rounder coming. (although in hindsight, maybe we should have)

But yeah, I agree. I mean, the club holds a weekly draft show hosted by someone who used to be a scout for GM Jerry, albeit pro personnel.

(Not that I don't listen to the show every week it's on, and would hate if it went away.)

Our 2nd rounder was a fallback; we would have taken Ogbah and Dodd if they were available.
