Roberts is going to turn out to be a good one. He was one of those studious types who could never find a home as a player but he has baseball instinct.

I hope the Dodgers players take him serious and not see him just as a temporary replacement.

Something going on with the baseball this year... Actually it started the last two months of last season when the homer-rate suddenly spiked up– it was one of the largest increases in many seasons.

And that homer-rate increase has resumed at the start of this season.

Something happened with the baseballs.

So far this short season homers are up 9% over last season.

You may be on to something Michael but let see once we get past the heat. Balls always fly out of the park early in the season and then come back to reality as the season wears on. Be interesting to watch this thou.

Weather has been rather cold until this week, plus the kids have school.

Adam Jones has played in only 2 games and Gausman isn't playing yet.

They can match bats with anyone; it will come down to starting pitching.

After a shaky start, the Mets are putting things together. Our new middle infield is shaping up quite nicely. Our 5-7 hitters are going to make a big difference this season with Conforto looking like the real deal

The support for a punch here is incredible. What did Bautista do? Oh right, he flipped his bat last season, what a horrible human being. Derek Holland wiped his but with a rally towel a kid dropped into the bullpen. Thats got respect written all over it.....Some of you guys make me laugh.

So then please elaborate. You know when i laughed. When Bautista hit the home run last year and send the Rangers home packing. Canadian teams get no respect from anyone, so you can forgive me for defending my team on this side of the future wall.
