I think the last episode turned the corner.

The show is slow but that's because not much time has passed.

It's getting good.

I thought the last two were much better, but they still could have done better. The bad guys were pretty pathetic.

would be pretty damn tough to get much worse. other than breaking out into a musical polka zombie flick, it was pretty rock bottom.

Lol, I have to agree. I expected much more from this show and it has completely underwhelmed.

Shows gettin a lil better...can someone answer me why exactly Celia had the church people killed? only thing I can think of is she didnt want the walkers to get to em first? so theyd at least still resemble their former selves as opposed to bein torn to pieces?

I'm pretty sure the church group was going to kill the walkers Celia was keeping in the basement and not the people. The priest was talking about the [walkers] in the world was not put there by God, but was evils way of turning them from God. They were going to kill the evil.

Then Celia's son showed up and said they were fighting death (the walkers) with death (the congregations lives). I'm almost certain they were going to the villa to kill the walkers and Celia poisoned them to keep her "family" safe. It's not Godly to kill people and definitely not Godly to take communion before doing it.

Now I'm not sure how she found out or why they would take communion with anything given to them from her, knowing what she was harboring evil. That's just bad writing. And even on the small chance that they were going to kill the people, it would be even worse to take communion from the target of the attack.

Dare I say that FEAR may end up with deeper characters than TWD.

Remember they are developing over very short time frame.

Daniel - deep
Nick - deep

Heavy transformation characters:
Ofelia

Cold blooded:
Madison

Smartest and calculating:
Alicia

Big past reveal which revealed nothing interesting
Victor Strand
Why in that cell?
Why did he want Nick for his talents?

Knew something ahead of most everyone:
Alex
Still mystery... Sorta...

The old lady Celia. Not interesting. Just a different opinion/ interpretation of what's happening.

Why didn't Daniel give Celia the owl medallion?
Was it a "kill 'me all" signal(from the grave)?

Huh?

"Deeper" characters?

I question that.

On top of that, there still aren't any characters I really like...

By the middle of season 2 of "TWD" Rick was light-years beyond anyone on this show. And Shane's character was one of the most interesting on TV. Andrea's character ran hot & cold with folks but she at least got folks talking. The Herschel character was a "win" from the beginning of season 2. Dale's character was terrific... wish he was around longer.

And then you had Daryl's character.

The character's on "FTWD" are OK and that's really about it. They're the equivalent of the character's you'll find in just about any grade B zombie flick.

I don't love the show, I don't hate the show.

Just giving it a chance to develop. I believe that it's happening.

I see you are swayed more towards "dislike" for this show.... Grade B zombie flick lol. Nope.

We can agree to disagree. :)

If I disliked the show I wouldn't watch it.

It's an OK show and that's where it is for me.

I do give you credit though RED... You tend to see everything as unicorns and puppies... I tend to see it as Godzilla and Tokyo.

Well alright! I have been critical of the show (for good reason), but I will give props to the latest episode because it was actually pretty good. They are finally diving into the depth of the characters. Chris was always a tool, but now his psyche matches the character, so thumbs up on that. Travis is somewhat of a putz and his psyche is turning very "putzy", so thumbs up on that. Salazar has some demons coming out that will hopefully explain why he is such a schmuck.

My biggest problem is that there are very, very few likable characters on the show. I guess Nick, Ofelia and Alicia are okay, but I have found myself rooting for the main characters to get eaten so they can bring in new characters. I don't think that is supposed to happen when developing a loyal fan-base.
