Fear The Walking Dead - Season 2

I just think this show has been poorly executed thus far. Season one of TWD was great. FTWD had a mediocre 1st season. Season 2 of TWD was slower, but had lots of moments of tension, huge moments of suspense and drama from every angle. So far FTWD is just slow and predictable. If this show wasn't carrying fans from TWD it probably would be canceled. All I can say is get better or die out.

Robert Kirkman should thank the heavens every single night that Frank Darabont was there in season one to amp up his OK story and set the ground work for what "The Walking Dead" became. Without his involvement, the series would probably have never gotten off the ground and #2 he gave story the needed tweaks (between added characters and plot) to ratchet it up several more levels.

"Fear" has no Frank Darabont and it shows. The writing is predictable and the characters have no depth. I watch it because it's a zombie-series...

everyone is just kinda in shock and about as shallow as the kiddie pool by the time i got to high school. i went ahead and tried again and i just can't get into anymore mother killing. been there, done that, move on to other shocking scenarios please.

and how in the hell did a military gunship not keep up with a private yacht?

I'm really giving this show a chance but man it's just so... Blah.

I find colette (same actress from SoA) to be so frustrating. Her and her Druggie son essientially got that family killed. The zombie baby was a pretty cool moment.

I forced myself to watch empire because how much I like Terrance Howard and I sorta like it now. Maybe I'll get lucky twice with this show.

The episode was just more of the same.

I thought the most interesting part was the discussion between the fathers concerning the extent of the outbreak– that it's at least as far as the Rockies.

Personally I think a run over to the amusement park would be an interesting twist.

The CDC has aleady said the outbreak is global.

Eradicate that island and boom you have a home. Yeah let's hit the sea where a navy gunship (one that isn't as fast as a yacht...) is taking people down.

I'll keep watching this show just because I like zombies. But it just doesn't have much pull.

I thought this episode was more interesting and better than the premier. It still has a lot to improve though before I'd call it a good show. Still. Baby steps.

The second episode picked up at the end a little bit, so hopefully it can lead into the series picking up the pace in general.

It would be really great if someone would push Chris overboard and left him though. I would probably watch that episode two times and send Kirkman high fives through the interwebs.

Both TWD and FTWD are written in a meandering tone for the most part.

I've come not to expect much from either.


You wait all season for something.... And you get next to nothing.
End of TWD was good but the seasons have wallowed through mud for years now.

One of the interesting things in the graphic novel that we haven't seen in "The Walking Dead" TV show is that a chunk of the Alexandria story takes place during the winter, which adds an interesting dimension to the story– such as noticing the living dead move even slower in the cold.

The weather is very much the same in virtually all "TWD" episodes, which adds to the "muddy" feel.

I really don't understand this part of the series either. They always do split seasons so I don't see why they couldn't split filming up to show different seasons. Are we to believe its never snowing in Virginia?

It's probably AMC counting their pennies that keeps the show from diversifying the filming locations.

At least that was one of the "grapevine" reasons Darabont left after season 1– AMC is tight with the dollar.

Well this episode actually gave me some hope. Nick is starting to grow on me along with Strand, the Hispanic guy and Alicia, who will always have a place in my heart. Not sure they have a character worthy of being the leader/star of the series. The Woman just isn't doing it for me and neither is Travis. That has to be rectified for the show to truly grab hold.

It was another "so-so" show, but I had already watched GOT so I went ahead and watched it. I'll probably keep watching it just because it has Zombies, but will push it off when better TV is on.
