Josh Norman. But we get it.Dez is going to have a tough time rebounding from yesterdays performance having Josh Gordon clinging to him next week.

This board did not suffer a 6-yard receiving day. It did not lose control of the ball in the end zone and then preen in arms-croosed gangsta method in front of the ref and then disappear from the game. Also, it did not fail to get out of bounds with 10 seconds left in the game. And it did not turn in a 55-yard rushing day.this board is insufferable after a loss. the stupidity cannot be measured.
Didn't Dez once tell us he'd be a 2,000-yard receiver? No excuse for this season. But I want to let it play out before I judge

Go to the 1:44 mark, the ball was thrown right when it needed to be as Dez got open but it was going to result in a jump ball no matter how you look at it because Dez was in the corner of the end zone and had to go up for the ball to stay in bounds. He couldn't just keep running to gain separation on that play because he ran out of room and had to go up for the ball which allowed the defender to contest it. Dez had the ball all the way to the ground but it came loose and although it didn't appear the ball touched the ground by the time Dez regained control of the ball he was OB.
SMH...Dez has a bad game and people start this stuff.
What's going to be the excuse for this season? So far, we're seeing exactly what we saw last season with him.

Go look up each WRs targets per game . He was 12th and had less targets than Emanual Sanders, Golden Tate, and Vincent Jackson in 2014. It was even worse for him last year.
Only time he was in top 10 in targets in his career was in 2013 at number 7.
Does anybody think his downfall, so to speak, is due to his contact hold out? Dez doesn't seem to be the guy that gets paid and doesn't produce.
Serious question, is it Dez? Maybe the play calling? Are we not throwing to him in single coverage?
I did notice both times we were 1st and goal not 1 face to Dez. Giants went to Odell twice in back to back plays in the redzone and had Mo not pushed him out of bounds on the 1 catch it would have been td.

It's his inability to separate. Despite the foot injury last season Dez hasn't looked good since the 2014 "regular season." He only had 6 catches for 86 yards in our 2 playoffs games in 2014 with no TD's. He finished 4th in yards in the playoffs behind Witten, Beasley and Twill. Even Beasley had more catches than Dez.
He is not a speedster and never was. He is a physical WR who can catch on the run and break tackles. His strength is RAC just like Jerry Rice was. Rice was considered slow for WR but it didn't stop him from being the GOAT. We need to use Dez like Irvin or Rice but JG keep insisting we use him like Harper. Dez's targets reflect that as well.
When's the last time Dez made a real good run after the catch? Jerry Rice was one of the greatest run after the catch receivers in history because he could separate and played much faster than his 40 time. Most of Dez's best catch and runs were earlier in his career when he had more speed. A thread was started a couple of years ago with a complaint about his run after catch ability. Because he has trouble separating from defenders they're able to grab him as soon as he catches the ball preventing him from breaking away.
Most of his catches are contested. Watching him run routes yesterday looked like what we saw from him last season. He doesn't have the burst off the line of scrimmage he once had and he's becoming increasingly frustrated that he can't get open. Hard to use him like Irvin or Rice when he can't get open. We're trying to get him the ball but his inability to gain separation from defenders has become very troubling.
Remember the qbs last yr?Dez' catch percentage in his last seven games:
Pretty dumb to ignore that trend as meaningless, IMO.
