When Romo is healthy should/will he start or Keep Dak as starter **merged**

Have seen a few articles and folks in the media tossing the idea out there that if Dak keeps winning-- you roll with him over a healthy Romo.

Uhhhh. No. You don't.

Romo is a top 7 QB when healthy, and the offense is MUCH more lethal with him at the helm. It is not even close.

Don't get me wrong-- I love Dak and am thrilled with how he has been playing, but under no circumstances should he be the starter with a healthy Romo on the roster.

Sorry-- had to vent after seeing another headline about this issue.

It hasn't been Romo team for over a year now but rather a team run by back-up QBs. I am often amazed at how long it takes some fans to come to terms with reality (I would lump Randy Gregory crowd in here too).

Alright then, what exactly are Romo's strengths? 12 years droughts? It is an honest question... Im trying to keep the big picture in mind.

Romo's biggest strength is carrying management that has failed him with personnel and coaching for most of his career.

Ware was a 1 man defense while he was here and Romo has been a 1 man offense and offensive coaching staff while he has been here.

Well if Dak keep pace Romo has another year max to be the starter. Now is actually a good time to off load Romo contract while playing nothing for the postion.

Why not let Dak give the "failed management" a try at this point? It cannot get any worse. I truly feel he would do a LOT better with the same variables.

If Dak keeps playing like he did against the Skins...there is more of a case for keeping Dak as the starter.

Of course, there's the old 'you can't lose a job to an injury' theory. But, I really don't buy into that.

So it's up to whether Dak looks more like he did against the Skins or if he looks more like he did against the Giants.

YR

Yeah nobody believes that.

Romo gives us the best chance for ultimate success but if you have your Dak conspiracy hat on you can look at Romo's salary for a big reason as to why he won't get benched.

It's a damn shame that Romo, Witten, and Ware spent so much of their careers held back by the idiocy of Jerry Jones.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe Romo has been the problem all along? He has been the only common variable over the past 12 years.

I am surprised how quick some fans are to shelf the most proficient passer in Cowboys history... I will go with Parcells on this and simply say that I don't think the book on Tony is written yet.

Also, give Dak 12 years, I will bet almost any amount of money he will win more than 2 playoff games. This franchise deserves better than what we have seen since the mid 90s.

I understand (and accept) the logic behind putting Romo back in as starter, but I also think that it is somewhat of a moot point because he is likely to get injured again soon after he takes over. The more banged up he gets, the less mobile he becomes, and thus more vulnerable.

No. And you're wrong. The common variable has been our GM, who has clearly and utterly failed in his job over that span.

All I know is two great qb's on the roster is a good problem to have.
