Yeah nobody believes that.
I can hear Garrett saying that right now if Dak plays well and he gives the job back to Romo.
Almost guaranteed.

Trollingyou have to consider the points Romo consistently gives the other team in pick 6s which cancels a lot of those points out.
The two dropped TD passes in the first game is your difference in points right there. Also, you have to consider the points Romo consistently gives the other team in pick 6s which cancels a lot of those points out.
Dak is intelligent, more calm under pressure, and makes better decisions with the ball than Romo does. I think the most important element is his ability to run though. When we start utilizing his running ability even more, it is going to be a nightmare for defenses to stop.
I don't blame the coaches for being ultra conservative in the playcalling so far. You also have to keep in mind that Dak's arrow is pointing up, while Romo's is pointing straight down.

I just don't see a point in putting Romo back in. He's not going to last a quarter. He's no longer the future of the franchise. He's not even the present. He simply can't stay healthy long enough to make a difference.
Let's see what we have in Dak. Maybe he is ... maybe he's not. But give him the opportunity to play the entire year and show us what he has. When healthy, Romo is head and shoulders above Dak. But Romo can't stay healthy.
If Dak continues to improve, he might actually throw a touchdown pass before he heads to the bench. For him to remain the starter, he would need to be playing like a pro bowler right now... not a bottom ten starter. If Dak continues to improve, as he has been, he should remain the starter as he is obviously the future franchise QB. Unfortunately, I just don't see any way Romo isn't put back in ASAP.
I've heard GMs listening to fans always works out incredibly well.I notice a recent poll at ESPN has those wanting Dak to remain at starter at 62% vs those wanting Romo back at 38%. Looks like the door is closing on Romo.
Jerry Jones can always go against what the fans want and play Romo when healthy... Does make you question if it would be the right call though both for the fans and players.
So. An ESPN "fan" poll, gives you the impression the door is closing on tony. Hate to break it to you but..I notice a recent poll at ESPN has those wanting Dak to remain at starter at 62% vs those wanting Romo back at 38%. Looks like the door is closing on Romo.

Have seen a few articles and folks in the media tossing the idea out there that if Dak keeps winning-- you roll with him over a healthy Romo.
Uhhhh. No. You don't.
Romo is a top 7 QB when healthy, and the offense is MUCH more lethal with him at the helm. It is not even close.
Don't get me wrong-- I love Dak and am thrilled with how he has been playing, but under no circumstances should he be the starter with a healthy Romo on the roster.
Sorry-- had to vent after seeing another headline about this issue.
Depends on how well Dak continues to play.
The downside to Romo starting again is that if he plays a few games and gets suddenly injured, now Dak has lost those reps and may not quite get into a flow again.
You also have to wonder if the offense will be on the same rhythm since they are going from Dak to Romo.
If Dak keeps playing like he did against the Skins...there is more of a case for keeping Dak as the starter.
Of course, there's the old 'you can't lose a job to an injury' theory. But, I really don't buy into that.
So it's up to whether Dak looks more like he did against the Skins or if he looks more like he did against the Giants.

You should never lose your job to injury. Yes I know it happened to Bledsoe in 2001 but this isn't the Patriots.
