Undisputed - Skip: Dak vs Wentz vid

I'd really like to see that tweet.
I'm not defending him, but I live in Dallas and my time with him here overlapped for about a decade. He has always seemed like a big Cowboy fan to me.
If you think he's a pos, that's fine. Just saying, I think he really is a Boys' fan.

Also, the gay Aikman story got additional legs (it was out there already) from Skip claiming that several of the players and also Switzer had alluded to that. Skip was WAY out of line propagating that garbage. But it was not him saying he thought for sure it was fact. In any case, it was irresponsible.
BTW, in Dallas back then, long before Skip said that crap, it was very highly speculated that Troy might be running that way. When I first moved to Dallas and before my married days, I lived in the Turtle Creek area for a few years. Lots of gay neighbors. Those dudes all seemed to think it was true. Certain of it...many claiming junk like they knew that that knew someone.....probably their wishful thinking. lol
The point is, Skip didn't start that rumor by any means.
But it was always speculation only. Not at all known fact.
Edit: This was not hard --

He's an ******* and a fan of stirring the pot for attention and money, not the Dallas Cowboys. He's smart enough to realize his audience is all.

Skip didn't start that BS rumor, but he damn sure tried to capitalize on it without any base.

I'll gladly say that I was wrong about Wentz, but I want credit for being right about Goff. ;)

I always loved Wentz's potential. The tools were there and obvious. I just thought the jump in competition would prove to be a much bigger hurdle than it has been to this point.
i wouldn't write off Goff just yet.

Another of those little things you see in Dak that tell you he will be a great QB in time, I loved it last night when he got his first TD on a sneak.

When he went into the scrum Collinsworthless starts yelling "Wow, did you see that hit on Prescott! What a hit by the Bears Corner!!"

Then you watch the reply and the corner takes a long running start to hit Dak, who is stationary at the line of scrimmage. Does Dak get knocked backwards? No, he moves a few inches sideways and then moves ahead for the score. It was a massive hit in the same way that a 747 takes a massive hit when a pigeon gets sucked into an engine.

Noone is injury proof- but Prescott defintely has a rugged feel to his game. He's already demonstrated the ability to shed sacks and absorb hits. Look, it's three games into the guy's career but he has been incredibly impressive. To think that it only gets better from here?

We've seen his floor (this is it- right now...) and you can compete with top tier teams and others with with it as is. That's a great, great sign.

I can't blame any Cowboy fan that dislikes Skip for what he said of Troy. Troy is our three time Super Bowl winning QB who is class personified. I'll never try to sway those that use his (Skip's) disparaging remarks as a reason to boycott the guy. I get it.

To the others tho, that like our Boys being front and center of the debate, these shows are golden, imo.

damn, that kinda sucks to see

Give it a shot, it's not that bad! :) Skip is bombastic, but he makes some really nice points.

Or just read our recaps/snippets, we take the best and post em here. :)

I have given it a shot...it is about as pleasant as a saltwater enema.

No thanks...it is a scripted show where they go to the lowest base journalism to get ratings for many fans who can not think for themselves.

Thanks for the tweet evidence.
That was 7 years ago. Do you think he still isn't a fan? Or do you think he was telling the truth there but not telling the truth now when he says he is?
Anyway. Interesting.

Yeah, I agree about him being way out of line propagating that rumor. Low class stuff.

For the record, I am NOT a Cowboy fan. Picked against them on the air last five years. Just like the makeup and unity of this team.Nov 19, 2009, 4:30 PM

Does this sound like a Cowboys fan to you?

As I predicted last week.. The comparisons were coming between the two.

These imbeciles arguing over who's better is about as stupid as fans here arguing over it.

lol. So Shannon says Wentz is better because he has MORE pressure being the #2 overall pick. Get real. Pretty sure the PRESSURE comes from opposing teams defenses. Carson's on the field..."I have to make this play, I am under so much pressure being where I was picked." Instead of..."The defense is lined up here...there, etc."

As for Eagles/Steelers game, the majority of Wentz passes were screen plays. Short passes.

15/17 were 5 yards or less

Fair enough, BP.

I'd agree. But it's a big red flag that he was drafted in large part because he was "pro ready" and couldn't beat out Case Keenum. I don't believe the Rams call his name again today, if given a do-over.
I can't argue that, but Wentz, Dak, Siemian, Kessler were all not supposed to be starting either.

Yeah. Got it.
Thanks

So now the question is; was he lying then, or is he lying now?
or if we was telling the truth, doesn't that mean since he says he is a Cowboy fan now, then he is also telling the truth about that?

Just curious. If we don't believe him now then no need to believe the 2009 tweet either.

I'm just glad that Dak doesn't have any pressure. I appreciate Shannon for pointing out that playing the marquee position in ALL pro sports can't compare to following Jeff Garcia, Doug Pederson, Ty Detmer, Nick Foles, old Michael Vick, Matt Barkley and Sam Bradford.

He's a Cowboys fan. He's a shock jock, who says what he needs to in order to get people to tune in. I don't respect his opinion on much because of that. You can't trust that he honestly believes what he says, even. But again, he's a Cowboys fan.

Yeah. Got it.
Thanks

Now that is some deductive reasoning, JC! :)

My point is, he is a panderer, he figured out if he talks positively about the biggest franchise in sports, he will gain huge ratings from both the Cowboys fan base and the Cowboys haters. Same thing he does with LeBron James, he's a smart guy and he knows that if talks religiously about those two subjects, his ratings will shoot through the ceiling and he was correct.
