I think we traded Antonio Bryant but I could be wrong.

Good memory!

In 2004, the arrival of free agent Keyshawn Johnson started to affect his attitude. During a mini-camp practice after being unsatisfied with the number of reps he had, he started cursing and threw his jersey aiming at Bill Parcells head, before the team broke up the fight. Although Parcells gave him a second chance, tensions kept escalating from that point forward. He was eventually traded to the Cleveland Browns after the fifth game of the season, in exchange for wide receiver Quincy Morgan, who also had issues with his team.[4]

And with Dez's past, going back to OSU, this surprises who? He'd probably still be MIA if his monkey hadn't talked him into giving himself up.

Dez has innate talent and a gift but inside that head is the brain of a child. People in psychiatry tell us we need to let our inner child out to play occasionally to maintain balance but he seldom brings his back in to mature.

I am waiting for the Dezzies to offer up the "passion excuse". He's the only one with passion, that's why he does what he does. It was passion that made him miss treatment and show up late for a team meeting. And all the other things he's pulled.

They should do a brain transplant between Dez and his monkey but Dallas would probably get a lawyer and the ASPCA and PETA and prevent cruelty to animals. He can't help being stupid but he can help his behavior.

And the worst part of this is Booger wants him some triplets and we need to spend a 1st on D but he loves the skill positions and he could easily pull the trigger on a WR in the 1st.

Just to be clear, does everyone hate Dez now because he got hurt? He doesn't know how to avoid injuries? He Missed an MRI for whatever reason? Or all of the above?

Everyone seems to hate Dez because he loves to play football and was scared his season was over for the second year in a row. They all would have handled it much better than him .

Have you guys read the thread? The explanation as to why he missed has already came from Garrett. Read before posting.

This is probably the biggest overreaction and non-story in the history of this forum, and that's saying a lot.

- Dez gets injured
- Dez fears the MRI results, postpones it as long as possible
- Cowboyszone freaks out like petulant children, while at the same time, calling Dez a child.

Get a grip, people. Vent to your therapists.

My therapist thinks Dez is a dummy.

I did and that seems OK to you? Hear of that happening all the time, do you? Players fearing the results don't show up for MRI's and CAT's? He's being paid 14M to show up!

Tell me the reason why I'm supposed to be up in arms about this? A player being afraid his season might be over, why am I supposed to be freaking out?

Are you guys even trying to think? Why so much emotion clouding your better judgement? What is the problem, what is the issue? My goodness, this is embarrassing. I'm getting secondhand embarrassment from this.

The quicker you get evaluated, the sooner the treatment can start. Everyday counts.

With jerrys luck, he needs to buy 3 MRI machines and have one at the stadium, one at the star, and a backup just in case they all break down. No excuse for these guys

I cant speak for everyone - but it is annoying that he has trouble "handling" things like showing up for appropriate medical treatment.

Now we see why no one would comment on his injury. He was MIA, and the report is it was too much for him to handle - emotionally, mentally ?

The story also is not adding up - in that he was afraid it might be a more severe injury. So if you think it might be severe - why skip medical treatment, that is when you should be wanting to get the diagnosis and treatment.

Perhaps all of this is true.

All he has to do is show up for work when he is required to do so and none of this would be an issue. Just show up for work on time like the rest of us working stiffs.

If he can't do something as simple as that, then he deserves the criticism he gets.
So he shows up late 1 day and for this he deserves to be called a Diva, stupid, lazy, selfish, cancer, overpaid, needs to be cut ect?
I'm glad everyone else is perfect.

Because the guy went AWOL. A professional athlete getting paid $70 million ran away and hid like a child, for fear of hearing bad news. And some fans want to try to excuse that. It's pathetic.

It's as bad as some of you fans around here. Cover your eyes and ears to anything negative because you're not mature enough to handle it. Now I can see why some people want to think its no problem. Because that's the same petulant, childish way they handle their own lives too.

Because that's the way an adult thinks. The way a grown up would handle things. Obviously, we're not dealing with that. Either from Dez Bryant, or the people fumbling around trying to defend him.

Two very different situations. If Dez Bryant beats up his girlfriend and she leaks the pictures - he's out of here. That's very different than missing a medical appointment.

I agree with you 100%. I just used Greg Hardy as an example of how being one of the best at your position doesn't guarantee that people will overlook your faults. If Dez does not change his attitude and way of doing things, he will become the next TO and you can bet he won't get as many chances as TO got before nobody wanted him.....

It's not a question of Dez being perfect. It's a question of Dez being a professional, which he is supposed to be.

Dez is compensated very well. With that compensation, there are expectations and responsibilities of him. He doesn't seem to get that very simple concept.

I don't get why people think Dez is hated. Nobody hates Dez. We just want him to STHU and do his job. He's becoming more of a distraction than he's worth.....
