In about three years more US citizens will live in states where its legal and than states where its illegal. Its legal in California after the November ballot measure.

But that said, Gregory is still a knucklehead. If the NFL tells you that you can't use chewing gum, you don't chew gum.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if testing for marijuana is dropped in the next CBA. Unfortunately, Gregory will probably be out of the league by that point.

I hadn't heard they set a date yet, only that he appealed. I won't be surprised if he plays the first 6 weeks before it is settled

Yup, Oct 4

It was a good thought anyway. Regardless of what happens, What area do you think the Cowboys address with their draft picks? Probably add depth on the O-Line and a fullback. Just kidding of course

Johnson is a frickin' REPEAT violator. He was suspended 4 games 2014. This is his second time being caught taking illegal PED's.

The whole thing is infuriating.

Here is the part of the Drug Policy that shows an appeal might not happen for at least a month:

Section 6 Appeals
Any Player who is notified by the NFL Management Council that he is subject to a fine or suspension for violation of the terms of this Policy may appeal such discipline in writing within five(5) business days of receiving notice from the NFL that he is subject to discipline.

Appeal hearings will be scheduled to take place on the fourth Tuesday following issuance of the notice of discipline. Upon agreement of the Parties, the hearing may be rescheduled to another date.
In the absence of an agreement, a party may request a conference call to move for a new date based on extenuating circumstances. In such case, should the arbitrator conclude that a new date is warranted, a new date may be scheduled, but in no instance shall there scheduled date fall more than one week after the originally scheduled date unless otherwise

Someone famous once said, "hit me in the head with a hammer if I ever draft a stupid player".

Do many folks simply "cut & paste" their Randy Gregory posts from one thread to another?

Seems to be the case.
It's like some folks have a template of responses saved in a document they can put in every Jerry, Jason, Romo, etc, etc sucks thread that pops up

So can we just cut this guy already?

It's sickening how much talent has passed us by in the 2nd round because of picks like this guy...

Not really since it evidently is a big issue for Gregory. He knows he has a problem and knows he needs help. Should tell you that just because some states were stupid enough to do that did not make it right
How are those states stupid? I bet you think alcohol is ok

What's it going to be then, eh?

Call me crazy but at least risking it on Gregory trumps overdrafting Gavin Escobar.

If it were legalized, would teams support widespread use by their players?

Alcohol, Ritalin, Adderall, Oxy are all legal but still can violate the Drug Policy
Gambling is legal in most states but is frowned upon and players aren't allowed to promote it

I don't see any way the NFL allows it.......not with kids looking up to players
