It's about as fair as losing your job to injury. I'm sure he'll get over it. You on the other hand have been crying about it for days.
I'm still waiting for you to show one post of me or anyone crying about this. Keep trolling and talking **** though. :)

I guess the cowboys PR / FO do care what Skip says.
He is doing it on TV - He is also claiming that Romo is in Jerry's ear to get his job back
And that Romo is having a tough time...

Never use Skip to hammer a point on him to me. I genuinely do not like him, as a person nor as a journalist. He could tell me the sky is blue and I wouldn't give two nickels about it.

This is a mistake if he will publicly speak (and be questioned) about the team's quarterback position. Any definitive statements should be made by those in authority, either Jason Garrett or Jerry Jones. An employee, even the quarterback of the team, should not be speaking on the matter until after statements are completely and clearly given by management. Otherwise, shame on Garrett and Jones for not manning up.
I get it but I think it's more effective coming directly from Romo. Your going to get a bunch of dodging and ducking from the others and Romo will handle it well or better than any of the others you mentioned other than perhaps Garrett.

It does not matter what we feel about Skip as a journalist.

He is putting this stuff out there on TV
He is changing public opinions.

I would bet that PR/FO/Coaches all care, and Romo cares about what people is saying about him.
If Romo is being the good guy, and someone is insinuating that he took a private flight with Jerry to get Jerry to give him his job back, I would want to set the record straight.

I'm curious is this year your first as a fan? Where do you live?

Romo is having a press conference today because he will be active this week and he is doing it on Tuesday so its not a distraction to the rest of the team. If you think something someone says on tv matters to him you know nothing about him. Do a little research and your own questions will be answered.

If you're using Skip as your baseline for your opinions re: the Cowboys, then that tells me what all I need to know about any future discussions. lol

He should take the lead and speak first about a decision impacting the franchise? Why? Isn't that in a head coach's or general manager's job description? What's next? Romo will meet the press and announce the latest developments at The Star?

You have a point. This way does have its pros as well as cons. This allows Romo to handle this in his fashion. He doesn't need help with his image but this will cement it if in fact he takes a backup role.

I have been a fan since 1976 but never lived within 1000 miles of Dallas.
I don't care to address your other points given your tone.

Skip is not the baseline.

Any TV personality can affect public opinions, which can have an effect on the team and the players.
That is my baseline.

Honestly? I've gotten to the point of whatever pretty darn quick. I don't like any player, much less Romo, being put in what I would call a disrespectful position. Heck, I didn't like the unnecessary nonsense Terrell Owens was subjected to while he was in Dallas and I really really REALLY dislike that guy.:p

"I'm here today to put to rest any rumors about the QB situation here in Dallas. Dak Prescott has earned the right to be our starting QB and I accept that. Now, some people in the locker room think Dak's only been successful because of all the steroids he takes, and others think it's because he personally deflates all the game balls every week, but not me! He's been succeeding almost entirely because he's got great talent, works hard and plays smart; that other stuff barely matters. I'm content as the backup, and I stand ready to help the team if I'm needed, though I can't imagine what might bring that about."

How about a tantrum and threats of violence if he is not immediately reinstated?

-------------------------------------------------------------

Tony in meltdown mode starts screaming at Jerry, "you're a traitor, you blankety blank liar!"

Jerry yells back, "I made you, you sniveling ungrateful blankety blank!"

Tony suddenly lunges at Jerry, putting him in a headlock. Jason Garrett has to pull him off. Then Stephen Jones has to retrain his father as he screams hysterically, "You're through! You're finished, you washed up choker!!!"

Romo responds, "Choker? You stupid, senile son of a blankety blank! I got you this stadium, do you hear me? Your no talent teams couldn't win a flag football game against 12 year old girl scouts without me!!!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, I know, Tony's not like that. He is going to be a team player.

I think they negotiated something in which he agrees to play out the year as the backup and will then retire. Perhaps not.

It could be, in exchange for cap relief, the Cowboys agree to a one year contract in which they cannot to trade him in the offseason, it will be Tony's choice.

just pointing out I don't think you comprehend how the media and this team works very well or why Tony would speak on a Tuesday.
