i hope he wins a championship. knowing Romo he will likely ask to get traded or released. Seems to me hes got this "fire" under him to go out and compete one last time. will his body hold up? not sure. but i dont think ive ever pulled so much for any ONE person to win a title more. (outside of dallas) not even Ware.
It would be crazy for a team to pay a backup QB 14 million.

It's also going to be strange to see Romo in uniform-probably this Sunday-and not playing for the first time since Bill Parcells was the coach here.

You have anger issues, I'm surprised you didnt use all CAPS this time. Have a drink and relax, people just stating their opinions without getting bent out of shape.

It's getting tiring seeing some trying to cheapen what Dak has accomplished and making it appear Romo never had a good team. Someone posted yesterday that Romo never had a team like Dak has this year with the great OL and the leagues leading rusher, when that's exactly what Romo had in 2014. Dak's winning games in places Romo never did and we just tied the longest winning streak in franchise history. Romo is done as the starter and Dak is the man. Have fun chewing on that.

I think Tony goes nowhere next year but if he does he will obviously pick a team close that has QB issues of their own by seasons end. I keep reading Jets. He won't touch that dumpster fire..though they have weapons

Keeping him around next year would be horrible for Romo and the team.

Dallas has to use the money they will free up to add defensive help and Romo still wants to play so he should allowed to leave and do just that.

Filled with excuses, your QB is done the future is here get over it. The Pats are a SB contender every year because of Tom Brady and he's had some horrible offensive lines and besides Moss for a year and Gronk not many good receivers. Excuses make no difference only wins matter and Romo doesn't have the resume. If we had Brady we would have been contenders a bunch of those years but for some reason you act like they're the same QB. I'll let you finish with your failed logic but Romo is not Brady period.

Tom Brady has had horrible OLs? Your opinion right there shows you know jack squat...

There's no doubt about Tony Romo being as classy a player as he is a man. He's been as unselfish in giving of himself as anyone could ask for as well. I think he'll likely be open to accepting a job with another team as a starting QB next year, although he didn't say so in so many words. Jerry has already announced that he would be our backup QB in the game vs. the Ravens, so I would assume that remains the same, unless otherwise indicated this week. Anyhow, has officially deferred his starting QB position to Dak and promised to "have his back, just as Dak has had his."

I think we have to trade him if Dak doesn't come back to earth. It wouldn't be fair to Romo to make him complete his career on the bench while he feels he can still play and it wouldn't be good for our salary cap to be paying as much as we are for him to be a backup.

The question will be how much a team is willing to pay for a 36-year-old quarterback. I've got to believe, though, with the Vikings willing to give up a first for Bradford that someone would be willing to give up that much for a much better QB.
Yes, if Bradford is worth a 1st, then Romo should be also. Romo might be more likely to get injured, but he is a much much better player if he is healthy.

Watching the press conference felt like the scene in Toy Story when Andy left all his toys behind when he went to college. You, Tony Romo, are a winner at the game of life. Much respect for you and everything you've done. Thank you for all the ups and downs. It was fantastic watching you rescue this team at every opportunity.

I love you for being the classiest QB in the NFL. For putting this team first, despite your own ambitions. For not distracting Dak, or the rest of the team, with your own interests. I love you for all that you have endured while Jerry failed you for your whole career, and not holding a grudge. Never complaining, never blaming anyone else, a stark contrast in this day and age of entitled finger pointing.

What a true champion in heart you are. I love you that you will always be a part of the Dallas Cowboys franchise, championship or not, and I love you that you were a part of our team, our starting QB, for a decade.

Every franchise couldn't be so lucky as to have a true pro like you. I love you that you were my QB and I can't wait to see where your life takes you next. Whether it's back on the field or elsewhere.

Tony Romo. America's QB.
Great great tribute my man. Just watched the clip of his statement. Tony seriously had me like...

Have some respect, man. You may not have to like Romo, but you have to respect him after what he just did.

They were 3-1 when we played them and we've had trouble at Lambeau throughout our history plus they have one of the best QBs in the league who's won a championship. Stop trying to cheapen the win because you and no one else would be doing it if Romo had been the QB. Despite the Steelers record and not having Lebeau they're still a tough opponent especially at home. They desperately needed that game last week and it was a battle and Dak came through.
Tony has led a team that beat Green Bay in Lambeau in 2008 with that same QB. And the Steelers that Tony led the team that they lost to was a better team than the team the Cowboys played today.

It's you who made the comparison to emphasize Dak over Tony. I simply rebutted your claim.

It shows you don't know how what you're talking about there's been years where Brady had no names on his entire line. Don't speak unless you know what you're saying.
