Back off, man. I'm a freakin' Cowboys fan above everything else and I want the team to win. I want the best quarterback out there and I believe that's Romo. Don't accuse me of having a personal agenda because I don't. That's my damn opinion and I'm allowed to have that. Don't accuse me of stuff that you don't have evidence of.

Yeah, and you are calling for Romo after one loss after an 11-1 start. Don't tell me you don't have an agenda.

I think it would be crazy to play Romo next week. This is the first game where Dak has been bad the entire game. There are several other games where he played pretty poorly in the first half and then came on strong in the second half. When that stops happening, then you have to consider a switch. It's not like we are talking about having a backup like Brandon Weeden or Matt Cassel sitting on the bench. The guy carrying the clipboard just happens to be pretty damned good.

If Dak doesn't have a better performance against the Bucs, you have to think about giving Romo a chance with Detroit. This team is bigger than one player. Whether that player's name is Dak Prescott.....or Tony Romo.

Man, there's calls for Romo all over the place. Including NFL analysts. Jerry scares me. He might see this as his opportunity to go to Romo. I'm on the record: should not change.

I had that thought tonight too. They didn't take care of business and slacked off...and now they'll find out what criticism in Big D is all about come playoff time. These games are huge and Dak, Dez and LInehan crapped out. (Zeke was fine IMO)

Problem with your theory is that Zeke played fine and you can't tie going out one night with Dak playing badly

Dak had this OL and Zeke running close to 90 yards in the first half. And Garrett wasn't his OC..

Dak with what Romo had during this years, this performance you'd be seeing a lot more of over the course of a season..

Dak probably wouldn't last more than 3 years with such awful coaching and surrounding personnel.. Felix Jones as his RB.. Jason Garrett totally inept ar devising running games..

Felix Jones averaged nearly 9 yards a carry his first year in and around 6 his second. He only went downhill when Garrett tried to make him a lead back instead of the change of pace back he really is.

Okay, so receivers either weren't getting open or took too long on routes. To me it seemed Dak was waiting/holding the ball way too long in the pocket and for whatever reason decided not to tuck it and run when he should have several times. Plus when he did throw it was late and hesitant, thus between two receivers or just badly thrown. Honestly, I think it's squarely on the coaches, that they have stressed staying in the pocket vs running. In other words, they in their overthinking took away what comes naturally to him, his instincts.
Garrett stunk as a qb, the last I want him doing is passing his qb philosophy on to Dak.

Yeah, I was afraid of this. It reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode, "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street". Overreactions abound. By the way, Dak is the monster made up in the neighbors' heads.

If we lose to Tampa, Romo gets his job back............you hear that Dak, you better not choke again next week

Actually, I hope Dak doesn't hear this type of talk. Since when has the starter of an 11-2, playoff-bound team been benched after losing two consecutive games against good teams? Time for concern (teamwise), maybe yes, but benching the starting QB? Come on.

People absolutely thought dak wouldnt lose another game this year.
ITs not that Dak lost a game, its the fact that the offense the last couple of games has been horrible, even though we beat the Vikes. So obviously, folks are starting to get concerned if there is a blueprint on Dak now.

The last two weeks the opposing defense game plan is to blitz Dak and not let him sit in the pocket and cover all the short routes so Dak has to throw the ball downfield. Dak has looked horrible the last two weeks when the defense follows this strategy.

Ergo, its logical to assume that both Tampa and Detroit will follow this same game plan as well. If Dak continues to struggle against the is game plan, how long do you stick with him with Romo watching from the sideline?

That is the question being pondered tonight. Nobody is saying replace Dak right now, folks are saying that if Dak struggles against Tampa using this same blueprint, at what point do you go to the veteran QB that teams will not play this way. Its a legit question to ask.

I would not be surprised if we see a similar performance next week. The Bucs defense is playing lights out. If Dak has another game like this....is there any way Romo gets the call?
Spot on. They made drew brees look like a fourth round rookie today. Expect a 14-10 kinda game

He's looked like that the past two weeks so I'm not sure if that is Tampa's D or Brees himself.

Romo was the clear cut starter of this team when he went down. There is no dispute over that. Dak has done very well but the second half of the year he has had several bad halves.....and then has been able to come alive late to win. He didn't ever look good in this game. He didn't look great against Minny. If he compounds that with another mediocre game, and especially a mediocre game that we lose....how can you not consider going back to Romo? He was the best QB on this team by a mile before he got injured. I don't think Dak, as a rookie, has done anything that would exclude him from having only a short leash, especially with Romo on the sidelines.

It's a tough call. Unless you win the Super Bowl with whichever guy you go with it's going to be second guessed for your entire coaching career. Safe bet is to stick with Dak, yet we all know that Jerry is a gambler at heart. What direction will he go?

8 rushes for 24 yards in the 2nd half:facepalm:

This coaching staff deserves just as much blame as dak

He either held it too long or didn't pull the trigger on the pass quickly enough , thus giving the DBs enough time break.
