Hope he contributes during his brief audition.

Dude has been traded, then cut twice.

Slightly too much excitement for a guy that can't keep a job in the best of teams or for the worst of teams.

Don't think Dallas sees him as more than depth. Another Looney type with potential to be better than that. If Dallas was bringing him in to start, I think the tune would be different concerning the signing ... although I see that some are penciling him into the starting lineup.

I was saying Leon McFadden, because Mo is ready to play. But I forgot they brought up Seymour, so yeah, maybe him. Did they ever officially activate him though?
He was active vs Philly

So he's going to get a SB ring now!! Not bad for 3 weeks. :)

In all seriousness wouldn't be surprised if he comes in on the jumbo packages.

Per Archer he's only signed through the playoffs. I wonder if they are thinking of activating Tapper instead of Collins with Lawrence's back and Gregory's likely suspension.

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a deal with guard Jonathan Cooper, who worked out for the team Tuesday, that will last through the playoffs, according to sources. He will be an unrestricted free agent in March and could net the Cowboys a compensatory pick in 2018. Cooper was the seventh overall pick in 2013 by the Arizona Cardinals and was released last week by the Cleveland Browns.

That seems kind of weird. If Leary is good to go, then Cleary and Looney will be the backups, so there's really no reason for this signing. Seymour was only brought up because we were sitting Smith and Leary.

Well, I'm still of the mind-set that I would pay him because he's one of our top four linemen. Then, I'd let Collins compete with Free at right tackle.

Collins is only set to make $623,750 next year, so if he can beat out Free, we'd save nearly $5 million in 2017 that can go to other linemen's contracts. I wouldn't pay Collins until he clearly wins a starting job over either Leary or Free.

I know ultimately that a lot of money would be invested in the five starters, especially after we reup Martin, but I think we've seen that the investment is worth it.

I believe - and I think the Cowboys do as well - that Leary will be getting a big deal in free agency. Bigger than some think, and bigger than what the Cowboys can afford. And Zack Martin's deal will be a record-setter. The days of getting Pro Bowl play on the cheap are over. They just can't pay everybody.

I'll be mad if Leary goes to the Eagles.

I kind of think the opposite. I believe Dallas doesn't know what kind of deal Leary will get because of his knee condition. The team tried to trade him but couldn't get good value. I believe the team doesn't want to set his market.

It'll be rough in the playoffs, so there's nothing wrong with getting insurance that someone will be available in the event of injury. I think it's probably wise to make sure of having enough help in the event of worse coming to worst. It has the potential to be a valuable precaution.
