Twitter: Jaylon Smith working out at AWP Sports

The nerve is regenerating. He's getting sensations back slowly. Give it time. The guy is probably ready to contribute now. He could be a difference-maker or he could be a role player. Last I checked there isn't a meaningful game for another six months.

and it LOOKS like hes doing all these workouts without a brace. thats good news.

ppl get so butthurt around here when something positive about him is posted. they quickly point out every negative thing they can.

im with you on he can possibly be a difference maker or maybe just a role player. hes come a long way and im happy for him. as a player and as a person.

i think he WILL play for us in 2017.

Exactly, if the nerve doesn't fire he is Andrew Gachkar. If it does, he is Luke Kuechly. And there is an 80% chance (or higher) that the nerve fires. "Wait and see" isn't something fans are good at, but it applies here.

If nerve doesn't fire there is a surgery option, no? Grafting nerves is apparently a decent option, just you'd hope it wouldn't come to that. A worst case scenario type of deal. So even if it doesn't fire there are options

he got Melanin he will be alright! magic.... heals itself he good September is when again? and whats today?

He's seriously not sure if he's serious so I would seriously ignore his serious attempt @ seriously getting under our skin w/ his seriously annoying posts that are far from being serious.

Dead serious. ;)
I seriously wish they would remove that stupid purple face solely because of him. Dead serious.

You're going to go in circles with just one.

So why is the brace such an issue? I guess the drop foot may affect lateral movement?

It prevents the foot from dropping.

Which means he doesn't have full use of his calf muscle in a brace.

Calf is really the only muscle that can lift our entire body weight, it's really strong, important for an LB. Affects push off, etc. Probably backpedal fine, but rushing forward, closing in on passes problematic. Laterally it should be okay as well.

Jack averaged less than 15 snaps a game on defense...he's off to a very poor start

Jaylon is getting annoying with these tweets, and if I was Jerry Id walk to him and bust him in the mouth, then give him the peoples elbow
