I don't think we are getting squat for Tony

With an ego such as Romo's, he wants to play. He won't retire unless his bones break further.
He has delusions of being like Tom Brady, a QB who in one lousy season regularly wins more playoff games than Romo has in 10 years.
Retirement does not necessarily equate as 'permanent.'

Like Houston is going into the season with the Qb's they have. :lmao: Give your heads a shake guys. We hold all the cards in this one, as we don't have to release Romo.

I disagree, squat is exactly what we are getting.

This is a waiting game.

For no reason should we cut him.

Houston will not go into next season with Tom Savage as their QB. They will make a move eventually or some other team will.

Then again, Romo could instead retire and not play for those lousy teams, can't he?
Retire? Do you seriously think that he would pay back millions and cost himself millions in salary for this year?

Also, the coach for the Jags can trade a 3rd round pick for Romo as well.

I do not believe this. Any contender's QB goes down, who is their immediate best option? Romo, no one else is close. Hang onto him until someone really needs him. It is a business.

You don't hold into a player hoping another team's player get injured. We aren't bringing him to training camp.

The rest of the football world doesn't think so either and hasn't for weeks.
I didn't hear the football world thinking that Houston could trade their qb to Cleveland. I didn't hear a word until it happened.

They probably ought to bring him to training camp since Moore has exactly 0 wins in the NFL.

Well, good for Cam. And hoping for a speedy recovery!
I am thinking of marketing a Cam Newton summer ensemble with orange pants, a red and green vest and topped by a green chapeau with a large fellow feather in the cap.
If he wears the complimentary suit I am sending him, my Western Union account could fatten when orders roll in! I need Cam healthy to show it to the U.S. public and sub-Saharan populace. :)

Maybe Jerry is either going to force him to retire, or become the backup? Unless a team wants to pay for his services.

Its not like we need to move him to free up space to make a big move. At this point its most prudent to hold him and see if a market develops... If not then you cut him loose as a June 1st cut. If it works great, but I think this gets resolved on or a couple days before the draft...
