I agree. If you are about to receive a NFL contract plus a large amount of money, you can not put yourself in a situation that compromises your future.

Exactly.............the dude was that desperate for sex that he put himself in a situation like this with possibly millions on the line?

Dude should have took a cold shower instead.

Women have reported abuse, got paid then declined to testify. See Greg Hardy.

She just had the chance meeting with him so she had to make the claim now. Obviously it would be better to wait until he got drafted early but she likely only had this one chance for her pot of gold.

True, this might have been her one chance for a pot of gold..............OR.............she could be telling the truth and he raped her

If you're going to do you own PR at least try to not look like a rapist.

Lets see, I have just been accused of rape, so what should I do?

I got it, I am going to pose half nude with my tongue sticking out and post it on the Internet!!!

Wow, he must have the IQ of a bag of rocks:facepalm:

Wow.

He just sealed his draft fate. I understand his feeling to clear himself, but taking a shirtless pic of himself is not really the way to do it effectively.

What does he expect that an NFL decision maker is going to think?

My word, given his appearance with him and his bulging and glistening pecs in this Faceinstachatgram photo, he appears to be concerned about his possible future career and wants the world to know he is serious about his innocence.

What an imbecile.

And Peppers falls to 60?!?

Your going to be mighty surprised Draft night lol it's a fall for him to make it to 20...
I think people may be over-valuing Peppers because he played multiple positions in college. In the pro's he is one thing: an in the box safety that will struggle covering top-tier TE's and RB's. So yeah, this latest news could see him drop to 60; potentially farther. Conley will be lucky to be drafted at this point. Fair or not, teams will have removed him completely from their board, if this case doesn't get solved by tomorrow.

Was this somehow supposed to refute what I said? Peppers has 1 interception in 3 years of college play. All of the highlights he was responsible for were against many players who will never sniff the NFL. He is explosive, instinctive, and a wrap up tackler. If that was all he had to do in the NFL (minus the failed drug test) he would be drafted in the top 10. But therein is the rub, because, in the NFL, he will also be asked to cover, something he has struggled to do in college. And if he struggles in college, in the NFL, he will suffer and whatever team drafts him will have to account for the fact that in this area, he is a liability. Overall, he is a great football player who belongs in a linebackers body. If Peppers was being considered as a draft pick as a linebacker, this wouldn't be the same conversation.

That's really not that bad of an evaluation based on 7 games... he spent the first 14 or so mins bashing him... his only real fault in evaluating him was miss diagnosing lack of talent with inexperience. But only have 7 games to look at it's understandable.

Really? How about his final summation? Where he talked about what a great pairing Osweiler was with the Texans and how the only "losers" were the Broncos? He killed any credibility he may have had with that garbage, especially when he tried to be smug about it.

The guy isn't a scout, he's a guy who works in video. He shouldn't quit his day job.

So, what you are telling me is the Cowboys could conceivably draft Conley, Rueben Foster, and Jabrill Peppers in the first 3 rounds.
IF that is how it played out. With smith coming back, and if all of these kids end up in the clear. WOW.

I haven't had an opportunity yet to confirm rather or not I've seen this one, but I have watched several of these videos on the available positions of need (corner, defensive end, offensive line, and safety; not necessarily in that order, mind you). The majority of the scouting reports are trending towards one thing: as an in the box safety, Jabrill Peppers is ideal, despite being slightly undersized. But he is a Strong Safety, not a Free Safety; despite having the athleticism to do both. He is explosive and closes quickly. He diagnosis angles on the fly and sifts through traffic with ease to make text-book tackles on the ball carrier. But, he can be lost in coverage. Just about all the scouting reports I have read agree on this one weakness. And while I believe the Cowboys could make do with a guy who is likely an (eventual, not immediate) improvement over Barry Church, I'd much prefer a Safety who is not a liability in an empty set. That is just my preference. Now, let's consider the failed piss test: Do we really want Randall Gregory Part 2. You know the guy who is set to be suspended for the year because he just can't say no? I, for one, want no part of that drama, despite the fact that I had already removed him from my own personal board following the aforementioned findings.

For different reasons, to be honest, I don't want any part of the 3. My initial comment on acquiring all of them was said in jest, due to the Cowboys history with these types of gambles. My issue with Conley should be obvious: guilty or not guilty, based on what we know now, there is a chance he never plays football again, unless in the prison yard. Before this happened, I wasn't much of a fan of Peppers; his skill set suggest he is a better linebacker than Safety/Corner, and yet his body-type is a clear no for linebacker, and slightly undersized for the in-the-box Safety. Also, according to scouting reports I have read, he struggles in coverage. My only issue with Foster (beyond him potentially being another Randall Gregory) is that he does not address a position of immediate need, though Sean Lee did just turn 30 and having Foster as a reliever would be awesome...if he can get his mind right...should he actually need to...since all the test is actually saying is he over-hydrated...which doesn't necessarily mean he did anything wrong.

To your first point. We actually know nothing. Except that all of the witnesses involved are saying that he didnt even go near the woman and was never alone with her. Friends and non friends alike. Peppers i will agree with you. Foster is one that would be hard to pass up. The kid is an animal.

I hope and pray that someday people will stop using this god awful analysis to judge defensive backs.

I have little doubt you didn't want Jalen Ramsey because he didn't have enough interceptions in college and all he did was have a great rookie season at CB showing he can definitely play.

Therein is the rub; if innocent, I hate it for him, but draft picks are far too valuable to risk on the word of bystanders that stand to get paid for simply saying he is innocent. Foster would absolutely be difficult to pass on, all things considered...It would really depend on who else is available and will they ever be considered a wardaddy. But chances are, they will already be drafted.
