The Annual Eagles Lovefest

LOL. So you are going with the "progress stoppers" angle?

Geezus.

My angle is they signed an ex bears wideout that they let walk because he was everywhere but the field for them.

Another wideout who was a great deep threat burner 5YEARS ago for the ravens.

Only thing that is annoying is that they legit have a very good dline that will give out Oline trouble with adding that Barnett kid to an already experienced and killer line

In 2009 I saw a Nobel Peace Prize awarded to an individual before said person was ever in a position to accomplish anything. Eagles Super Bowl victory predictions may actually have more basis for result than in the previously used example

If they ever win a Super Bowl, it will be bad. Very very bad.

They must never do this as the integrity of reality as we know it depends on it. They must lose. And continue to lose. It is a bonus if they do it painfully though.

That's ANOTHER howler!

I really hate seeing the word "Eagles" on page 1 of my beloved CZ Fan Zone page...isn't this a Cowboys forum? I hate the off-season!

Best defense in the division, but much to prove on offense.

I know a Philthy fan who likes to say that all the time....."when we finally win a Super Bowl it will destroy Cowboys fans".....but I think it would be equally as hard for them (and the rest of the league for that matter) to swallow us gettin #6......at this point, its been so long that, between the haters, the media and us true Cowboys fans that have suffered through this 22 yr drought, I almost think the whole country will go into riot mode.......

Not a big believer in the Eagles but to start last season they looked beyond awesome. They've added needed pieces and should be good again.

Let me be Blount about this, signed an overrated RB, are spending to win now, (they did get a nice 1st round pick)....but, replace the word "Quarterback" with "Eagles" below, and "he" with "they"

It's begun...

I've been reading and seeing it in the media the past few weeks. These mediots get suckered in every offseason by the Eagles and announce they're the team to beat or winners of the offseason.

I swear this began 8-9 years ago with the signing of Nnamdi Asumougha.
lol, yea, I even notice on Yahoo all of the teabagging that bleeding green nation and a couple of other eagles based entities constantly hype them.....what the rest of us see are a bottom tier team that has an all-time record below .500 that desperately wish they were an "elite" team but never will be, and a fanbase that are programmed like a remake of "The Stepford Wives".

You don't think adding Chance Warmack, Alshon Jeffery, Torrey Smith, LeGarrette Blount, Chris Long, and drafting Derek Barnett and Sidney Jones improved their team?

I wouldn't worry about them much until they figure out that good drafts are the way championship teams are built, NOT by churning 40% of your roster every year..............heck, if they were to luck out and win a super bowl it will be basically with other teams players not with "homegrown" players that they drafted and groomed into a super bowl champion, so they still cheat themselves out of that enjoyment.

They've killed more free agent careers than they have had success with....most recently, Demarco Murray, coming off of just winning the NFL rushing title and turned him into a bottom 5 RB. The list is endless....Nnamdi, Maxwell, etc.

I like some of their moves, but you literally could have made the same post in 2015 saying "You don't think adding DeMarco Murray, Ryan Matthews, CB Byron Maxwell, Walter Thurmond III, QB Sam Bradford and LB Kiko Alonso improved their team?"

Eagles lead the league in offseason championships.

I agree with you on that. They definitely have a history of winning the offseason. Of all those players from 2015 the only one who worried me was Demarco, but he was a terrible fit for their scheme. Not to mention back then they had the idiot that is Chip Kelly calling the shots. It did not worry me as much as this crop of fresh recruits does. I think they brought in much better caliber players this go around.

I don't disagree with this at all.

My original post isn't even necessarily against the Eagles, but the media at-large that gets fooled into thinking the team has been transformed because they see new names added to the roster. Fortunately, games are decided on the field; Eagles fans know this.

Giants have the best defense in the division.

The Eagles have the worst corners in the division by far.
