I think it's pretty interesting Zeke's own dad has concerns over his son's maturity and ability to handle fame, but some posters are quick to dismiss any notion there's a pattern of bad behavior/decision making.

You can just as easily say that some posters are quick to vilify. Yes, he's immature. Is that unexpected, or even outlying behavior for a young superstar? No, not really.

It'd be nice if he just needed 3 miracles attributed to him to acquire sainthood, but he's a typical young man. He's a knucklehead but he's not a criminal, and he hasn't done anything to get suspended.

Well, to be fair, people were comparing this team to the 90s Cowboys.

Now it's really starting to feel like the 90s Cowboys...

Minus the championships. If they could actually win first before becoming drunk with success that would be great lol.

She may have been "ok with it" AFTER the fact but she clearly wasn't expecting him to do that. Something STUPID on his part & could ( if she wanted ) have been a much bigger deal than THANKFULLY it ended up being.

Plus, people write off that act as if it's just a random occurrence. What you are seeing here is just a pattern of questionable off the field decisions by Elliott.

Anyone denying that he needs to clean up his act is just being obtuse at this point IMO.

Yeah, it's an outlying behavior. I see far more rookie and 2nd year players who have great NFL futures not getting into trouble off the field than Elliott. There's a few knuckleheads out there like him but this new defense of Elliott where people say it's fine because everyone else does it is bizarre.

I agree these arent isolated events. Zeke knows he being investigated and he still hasnt cleaned up his act.

Not really what? That Elliott allegedly hit a guy in the face? That Prescott situation is akin to the Elliott situation? That star NFL players are all like Elliott and can't seem to avoid bad situations?
you can believe Dak and his posse did nothing wrong and that is fine as long as I can believe EE did nothing wrong

"I'd never ever put my hands on a woman in violent way. S'cuse me while I go punch this guy in the face..."

This is exactly what this has turned into. When the NFL is already mulling over suspending you, a mature person has that little voice in the back of their head going "I'd better really be careful."

Zeke apparently does not have this little voice in the back of his head yet.

I disagree.

I think the little voice says things to him all the time.

Hey, Zeke. Let's check out that pot shop. We've always wanted to see one of those!

Psst...Z-man. Just yank her top down, it is all in good fun!

You just gonna let that fool dis your woman, Zeke?

I never said that. I suspect some words were exchanged inside, the thing looked like it was diffused, when Prescott and his boys walked to their car, they got jumped by the guys waiting to beat on them.

Hardly the same situation as Elliott suckering a guy in the face in a bar. Now if Prescott and his boys jumped a group of guys, you'd have a better argument.

so much naivete around here....... not all athletes are saints and expecting them to be is pollyannish

Sure, but it does explain all the online dating profiles where guys say they are looking for a Kate Upton lookalike who has a medical degree and trust fund.

Already licking their chops.

I already said this but losing Zeke against the Giants isn't the worst thing. It's obviously not ideal and in no way am I saying it's beneficial or won't hurt us but the Giants D line is built to stop the run and they were very successful at doing that against Zeke the first two times. If we want to beat the Giants, Garrett needs to get more creative and attack their weak linebackers. Not being able to hand the ball off to Zeke every play may force him to do that which could be a good thing that we didn't see much of, if at all, in the first two games.

I'm glad it was cleared up to your approval....tell that to those defrauded........and keep ignoring the fight and DUI

So in your eyes........... getting into a verbal spat with some guys and then getting jumped after the fact, beaten with a bottle and having a gun pulled on you is the same as seeing a guy harass a girl you know and walking up and cold cocking him in the face?

If Elliott wants to go out, get some booze in him and get in verbal spats with people at the bar but then walks away each night, fine by me. I don't have an issue with that and neither would the league.

But if Elliott is going out and pulling girl's shirts down and cold cocking people in the face, that's a different animal altogether.

Keep bringing up issues involving Dak from college, in a thread about issues possibly involving Zeke in the pro's. Lame whatabout-ism at its finest.

The Giants kept our run game in check last year. And now without that threat they can sit back and dare us to beat them in the air, as I am sure they are not quivering with fear about facing McFadden and/or Morris.

There is no sugar coating you can put on this when your best player is sitting out the game.

He has been suspected of 3 different types of assaults in less than 2 years.
