It's time to start taking Noah Brown seriously

NO value at all? Now you are just exaggerating to prove a fairly weak point. Value is subjective anyway, look at context because all teams have different needs and player values change depending on those needs.

Why on earth would Butler have value? He was trying to leave the Cowboys to get a pay day......and no one offered him anything other than the minimum that he got....and rightfully so.....he had 16 catches for 216 yards...the year before that he had 12 catches for 252 yards......

You can find guys around this league off the street who can give you that.

I'm a Brice guy. I like him. I think we got him for a steal. But that's based on potential. Potential we haven't seen yet. No one is trading for someone with Brice's resume. Maybe a 7th rounder I guess? Is that considered value?

He was supposed to be this raw, unpolished WR who really excelled at blocking. I'm thinking ok, they found themselves another Vince Mayle. We used a pick to draft Zeke's homeboy. Cool, but best case scenario he's stashed on the practice squad.

He's getting snatched up by someone else if you don't put him on the 53 now.

His route running looks exceptional. He looks like a natural hands catcher. And he's shown some YAC ability.

@4:10 there is so much to get excited about. First he hits the CB with the saucy Cole Beasley hesi, and then breaks inside to create plenty of separation for Rush to throw the ball. Then he easily plucks the ball out of the air using only his hands. Next, YAC alert. He jukes the safety, turns up field and has the strength to break the arm tackle of the CB. The fumble obviously is a concern, but that's a lot of WOW in one play.

Another nasty route where he makes a CB look foolish. Easy 6.

Turns Marquez White completely around.

Brice Butler is a FA after this season and this team needs another outside WR moving forward. Noah Brown looks like he can be that guy.

And he's only 20.

This is what happens when you play for a top 5 program and have the best coaches while your in college!! Remember when Chidekowsky (sp) and staff use to try to find that diamond in the rough player from St Mary's School of the blind??? Those days are long gone! Thank you Will McClay!!!!!

Could not agree more. Think Brice Butler should be traded to a WR needy team while his value is high. And this is coming from someone who once had high hopes for Brice as a Cowboy.

LOL why would we want to do that? He's the fastest wide receiver we got. Besides, Dak seems to like going to him deep. Noah Brown is not as fast and I don't know why people here like him so much.

He will get through wavers. No doubt.

Please.

The last "receiver" - who couldn't actually play receiver - that this team cut - amidst a bunch of controversy, was scooped up by one of the top teams in waiver claims. The receiver-starved New York Jets. Since then, they've lost their top option for the season, and that 'unLucky' guy they claimed from the Cowboys.

They've pounce on Noah Brown before the waiver hit the internet.

And then the uninformed like you would try to downplay it and criticize the player as being "not that good anyway".

Lucky was a kick returner. He said a specialty. They didn't pick up for his receiving skills, lol.

FWIW, he did receive some 2nd round grades by draft sites early in the process. Though that may have been a bit high, he does have talent. I think a combination of lack of experience and poor QB play hurt his stock, but he has talent worth developing.

I laugh when people say he wont be claimed off waivers if we cut him...

Teams like the Bills, Jets, and Ravens would claim him quickly

Get rid of bums like Moore, Nzeocha, and Carroll, to make room for a talented WR

So you want to drop a starting CB for a 6th WR who will never see the field with Dez, Williams and Butler ahead of him?

His quarterback was abysmal. Not 'Kellen Moore abysmal', but not good at all.

Yup. Teams will be scavenging players that don't make our 53, there's no question about that.

We've had inferior WR's just like Lucky get claimed. The Ravens claimed Vince Mayle off waivers in December as soon as we released him.

The Patriots signed DEVIN STREET two days after we released him to their practice squad, and then was stolen off the Patriots practice squad by the Colts a few weeks later.

And those players were cut. So there, if someone takes Noah, we can just wait a couple months and resign him. If he was 1/2 as good as you Brown Bandwagon folk are making him out to be, we would have heard about it in camp. I visited camp. Noah who?

When teams are claiming Lucky Whitehead, you know they're desperate. But yeah, some fans think this team can horde these players anywhere they'd like. Then when they're scooped up? They were never that good anyway. Fans tell themselves all kinds of things to feel better about mistakes.

I actually could try to listen to an entire game called by Big Man Jerry. I think that would be endlessly entertaining.

It's going to come down to Brown vs Rush and I am keeping Rush.

Anyoen can jump on a bandwagon or choose a pet cat. If you want to get serious then you need to consider what it's going to take to get him on the roster.

If the opportunity cost for Brown is Rush then I will pass. It is much harder to find QB than WR and I think Rush is a better QB that Brown is WR all things created equal.

Rico? Nope.

You can pray for KSmith to get cut but with is improvements and core ST role that isn't happening.

The routes for Brown are limited and his lack of contribution on ST doesn't help.

The ideal for me would be Moore. He adds no value and would be available soon after cut even if he is claimed. He stinks.
James Hanna is another option and he stank on pass protection Saturday. OTOH, he plays on ST and is good at it.
Keeping 8 is another option. That means you keep none of Theaker, Edwards, Burbank, and Skipper and go shallow.

Finally going short on defense is a possibility. I don't see it happening but who knows.

That would mean someone like Leslie Neal, Mark Nzeocha, Duke Thomas, or Marquez White doesn't make it.
