What's the predictions for Austin? I got a friend who lives down there.

They should be fine, maybe a little rain. Looks like it'll stall, before Austin gets any heavy stuff.

I'm part of the hurricane ride out crew for Citgo here in Corpus Christi. I'll be fighting to keep catastrophy from happening at their plant, which has docks in the surge area of the storm. We will be fighting to keep explosions and real disaster from expanding via the plant. We'll give it our all!

Thanks brick man. My daughter and family evacuated Corpus and went to Laredo. I don't think some people who are staying in Corpus are respecting what a twelve to fourteen foot storm surge can do. I am glad my daughter is not there. Go Cowboys

Depends on where this storm goes.

One model has it going further west, and Austin could see 2' of rain.

Prayers for all on the Gulf Coast. I am in South Padre Island and we have been spared from the worst. Spending the day drinking and thanking my lucky stars, been through some bad ones in the past and I'm glad this one just skirted us with 60 mph winds and a few inches of rain.

Sadly that might be the best thing versus it backing into the gulf and heading up the coast to Galveston/houston/port Arthur

Yep, they're talking 35 inches of rain on parts of the coast, and 20+ on a huge swath of it.

We just had a 3.8 earthquake in Irving and North Dallas apparently. It's all over Twitter.

When was the last time Texas had an earthquake, a hurricane, and a solar eclipse in the same week?

It has been a strange week indeed.
