Anyone on here watching the redevelopment of Harvey out in the Gulf of Mexico?

This storm could be very scary in terms of rainfall for SE Texas and even Louisiana.

I hope anyone in that area stocks up as a precaution. Quite a few people are comparing it to Allison.

My family in Houston are worried, not like we haven't been through many storms over the years. This is a pretty small storm compared to most. I am not too concerned, will just be like a typical Texas thunderstorm with minor winds.

Yep, we have had several meetings at work planning for the storm. Our plant operates 24/7 and we are worried people may not be able to make it to work due to flooding. Southeast Texas is going to get a TON of rain.

We'll see what Harvey bring to the Houston area. I have been thru quite a few where forecasters predicted devastation only to get sprinkles. Heck, I have even played golf on a day a storm hit

I have been watching constantly for two days now. The latest red bubble thing and the line things show it going way more south than predicted. They are not acknowledging the difference, of course (maybe they need the ratings keeping Houston on edge), but my husband laughing at me for taking it so seriously this time may come into play now.

Time will tell I guess. Don't really know what to think anymore. Don't usually pay attention to the doom and gloom predictions, but this one had me rattled earlier. Maybe a little too soon for that. By tomorrow our area may be completely out of it. But it will be bad for a lot of folks, regardless, if it ever even gets up to what they are making it, that is. Can't wait until tomorrow, then we will all know more going in.
