Does Taco Charlton look thinner, faster, and more flexible by the day?

He needs to get bigger, like Greg hardy big.he can't bull rush anybody now.

He doesn't have Hardy's club. He clubbed harder than Strahan though. JPP had a good one too; I think Taco can get there. That being said as it is now when Taco uses his length he has had a few nice bull rushes I have seen in the games.

He likes to stack and push on the bull rush and then swim inside. He's getting better at it too. Once he gets the arm pull down to counter their counter he will be in good shape.

Remember he has arms over 34" and with one arm technique you add a couple inches to that. There are very few OT that get push through that length when it's done proper.

He does look like TC has chiseled or shaped him up physically. I have not seen enough to weigh in on whether I feel he's going to be effective with his transition so far. I keep trying to find a veteran DE that he emulates or reminds me of and can't pin him down yet. Hope to see him grow game by game as he needs some consistency in his game.

His build and arm length reminds me of JPP. Now I know he will probably never come close to JPP's production but we can hope can't we?

I was actually going to post a thread on this a couple days ago - I was actually looking at some of his college tape and thought he looked bigger. Couldn't tell if it was just the uniform and padding. But he had a Greg Hardy-like build in college.

He's a first rounder - shouldn't the expectations be that he has a similar ceiling? I'm not sure why people are so down on this guy. He's a DE, there is a learning curve. JPP didn't exactly light up the NFL his rookie year.

He looks like a rookie. Some good, some bad, some meh. But the flashes give you a glimpse into what he could be.

Is it just me guys or does Taco Charlton look thinner, faster, and more flexible by the day?

Honestly, I saw a player with really heavy hands and feet at Michigan, during the draft, and during the OTA's and start of camp. But seeing this guy in practice recently and watching these latest preseason games, he looks like a different player out there to me.

Is anyone else seeing this or is this a kool-aid induced hallucination on my part?

NFL training program, day after day of practice. He's getting into football shape - NFL football shape.

I agree. And I'm seeing the positive attitude and desire to improve. Word was that he would respond well to hard coaching (which he's obviously getting) and from the look of it, that's what's happening. Good to see.

We're in agreement here. Taco reminds me of JPP. Not a guy with blazing speed to regularly turn the corner, but a guy who can win with a combination of length, technique, and power.

I did notice Charlton looking more chiseled (sounds better than thinner, right?) and more flexible and faster. On the other hand, TJ Watt looks like he gained 30 pounds (check those supplements:)). I think Charlton might be able to drop back in coverage a little to surprise the offenses. Should help Charlton with covering in the flat and chasing sweeps and stuff.

I still would rather have Charlton than Watt.

One thing to keep in mind, he played most of last year with a high ankle sprain
