If we were 14-2 every year with Romo, I would agree with this. Romo was a technician, no doubt about that. But the Cowboys had horrible games and losses, TEAM LOSSES, with Romo at QB. I didn't blame Romo then so I won't blame Dak now. The fact is that the Dallas Cowboys played like crap from whistle to whistle and there wasn't a damn thing Dak Prescott could do about it. Did Dak have a good game? Hell no, but who could under those circumstances? It was the game from hell for everyone in silver and blue. Let's just move on.

He didnt say they would win...he just said Denver would have had to pay for stacking the line. And they would have. Theres nothing wrong with stating that. Tony would recognize and adjust better than Dak did because of maturity.

Same reason Tony beat the Seahawks when they were #1 in multiple categories and they tried stopping Murray.

This should trigger the Anti-Dakers
Those doubting Dak will be proved wrong. Again. Those numbers say it all. Denver's D is very good and they played one of their best all around games. With such a large fan base we're bound to have a good number that overreact.

What's Tom Brady's QB rating the last couple games against the Broncos? What was Aaron Rodgers QB rating when he played against this defense in 2015?

Just want to make sure we are being consistent when we are saying things like he was terrible and how he's a fraud etc. Broaddus summed it up pretty well on Talkin' Cowboys after analysing the tape. The Denver secondary is the best in the league. I think it's just about established now, Dallas doesn't have a dominant receiver. They have a bunch of good solid guys. It wasn't that their dline dominated our oline, even though our oline did not have a good game by any stretch. The Broncos secondary just flat out shut down our receivers with single coverage. Guys didn't get open.

Apart from a few broken coverages, Dak had to hit pretty tight windows all game. He couldn't do it, but guess what, the two best in the game, in their prime couldn't against this defense also.
Dez had both hands on a would be TD and dropped it.

He ran out of bounds before the ball arrived on another play.

He a horrible route on the pick-6 play.

Wade Phillips is no longer her, you know the stats you are looking at as some sort of example of Denver shutting QBs down..

Denver wasn't shutting QBs down until Wade came..

Targeting Dez:

Comp Pct 48.8
TD-Int. 9-4
Passer Rtg. 84.7

Targeting EVERYONE ELSE:

Comp Pct 71.7
TD-Int. 17-2
Passer Rtg. 105.1

He played crappily against Denver. He was decent, not great against NY. If teams are going to employ the Denver method and focus on the run and containing Elliott, Prescott can't dink and dunk and do what he did against Denver.

I mean those are the realities. Let's see where he goes from here.

That's stupid, because it also reflects that many of those passes are check downs and high percentage..

Dak also missed Dez plenty of times.. and had INTs dropped

Phillip Rivers with a crappier supporting cast did better against this Broncos team than Dak if your looking at statistics. And they ran the ball better.

Please don't tell me that San Diego's RG is anywhere equivalent to Dallas.

Sam Diego emphasized stopping our run and Dak couldn't do anything. You think they do that with Brady or Rodgers?

The truth about Dez hurts people's feelings...

I agree with this. Move on. But I would add Dak will get the same scrutiny that Romo or any Dallas QB would get. Expectations are high, especially after his stellar rookie campaign.

I am starting to wonder if he is trying to throw the ball too hard. I read that he increased his velocity this off season by around 3 mph.

The way the ball is wobbling and sailing on him, it looks to me like he is trying to over throw it to me.

What ever is going on they will get it corrected, I still believe in Dak, he showed last year he is capable of being extremely accurate down the field. The TB being a good example of it.

So does he truth about Dak..

Defending go routes is not very complicated.. it's easier too when you have Dak throwing them..
Dez literally ran out of bounds before the ball got there on at least 1 of those sideline routes.

The most comical thing on here is saying it was Dez's fault on that INT 6 by Talib..

That throw was utter garbage..

Yea, that was a bad pass, that ball has to be thrown to the outside. At first I thought it was bad route by Dez, but seeing it in slow motion, it is obvious Dak threw it way too far to the inside. It is the same route Dez and Romo use to run all the time, it needs to be outside where Dez can use his body to hold off the defender.

Wow are Dak fans sensitive. Newsflash, just because some people realistically criticize his play does not mean they have written him off. Dak set the bar very high last year. He has looked bad for two games to start the season. Many people were concerned about a sophomore slump and so far it looks like we are seeing one. We all hope and expect him to right the ship. For gosh sakes do not take the criticism personally. Dak himself is his own biggest critic which speaks volumes for the guy. So lighten up people it is okay to criticize when the criticism is deserved.

Dak has the mental makeup and intangibles to work through any "sophomore slump". The fact is teams are adjusting to how easy he made it look last year and life in the NFL simply isn't that easy.

Too many here crowned Dak "elite" and put him up there with Brady, Rodgers, etc. On the other hand he has already proven he belongs as an NFL starter, better than many teams are trotting out there on Sundays.

Remains to be seen exactly how good he will become. I believe in him but need to see growth and adjustment. I anticipate that happening starting Monday night in AZ.
