Dak was incredible

Still dont get why some people cant like them both.
And it goes both ways.

I don't think there are very many strictly Dak fans. I think a decent sized share of the board falls in the strictly Romo bucket at this point.

I, and most of us, appreciate(d) both of them. It's insane to me that someone could root for an individual player over his favorite team.

What a game by Dak! His TD run turned the game around. His deep throws were excellent. He played like an All-Pro tonight. Coming off a tough game he showed everyone what he's made of. That's leadership.

I don't know I would go that far, but it was good to see him take off running for a change.

That was far from managing the game. He took control when the boys needed it by launching the ball down the field. That first half was incredibly frustrating. I think Dak is finally starting to get his confidence back
Key phrase: "launching the ball".

Tons of Romo haters who are all over Dak as the next Brady.

It goes both ways...for sure.

I'm just thrilled we have had them both...totally with you there..
Way past time to move forward.
:flagwave:

Lol

I'll take that wager, and your money, on current Zeke form.

He's so bad in this form but teams are stacking 8 and 9 in the box to contain him, while leaving the whole backfield open for Dak to try and beat them with his arm..

The Oline did him no real favors in the first half or second half really...he was dinking and dunking. I think someone finally, said throw it deep we have nothing to lose and it worked. TONIGHT. They need to fix some things IMO. The line is not right and I think Dak knows it. Could be a work in progress all season. I'll take the W but I'm not sold.

I dispute that.

Linehan dumbed down the offense for Dak.

The pass to Butler was a play action roll out on a first that sold the whole defense to bite.

The TD by Dez was all his legs after a crossing route after a few great runs by Zeke.

None of these passes were 'make plays on my feet street ball style'.

The game started to change once Dak started to roll out and had freedom to make plays then just executing set plays. The play to TWill was a perfect example where he escaped the rush and roll to his left and made the play. Even if the roll out was planned, he had option to run, pass short or long. This keeps the DBs honest and harder to defend receivers. Dak may not have the full freedom Romo had but Romo's big plays came when he was running around which helped out the receivers get open.

I don't know about incredible but he was very good

DAK should always have to handoff option 3-4 times a game
Yeah I agree. I can't wait until he gets better in the pocket because we already knew he can do things out of the pocket.

For those saying he was awful earlier, you're right.

But I have a hard time criticizing him when Romo dealt with the same crap predictable offense.

The one play that stands out (through the air) was the one to Williams while running to his left. Beyond that the bulk of his success came on the two Butler plays. Those were difficult throws...but they also weren't great throws and took great effort from Brice. The rest of the game was bad to meh. Overall, it was...good enough.

That's not considering the runs, which he had a few nice ones. Linehan needs to take more advantage of his ability in this regard. And Linehan needs to implement a lot more misdirection which was a huge reason for last year's success. It's like they actually gameplanned last year to make things easier for the young guys by finally scheming somewhat, and then decided they are vets now and can handle the higher difficulty of playing into the hands of defenses.
