Goff and Wentz are outplaying him this year easily. Even rookie Watson is outplaying him

Yeah, they're just throwing circles around him this year, lighting up the league...

Dak: 87/143, 941 yards, 8 TD, 3 INT + 1 rushing TD

Goff: 78/117, 1,072 yards, 7 TD, 2 INT

Wentz: 82/134, 970 yards, 6 TD, 2 INT (in progress).

I am talking strictly QB play

And much better defenses? LOL

This ram defense got lit up by a winless whiners’ team

Again, because the 49ers recievers could get open. Garcon had around 150 yds recieving. After the 1st half, our recievers didn't help Dak at all.

Move on yourself.

Just because he escaped from JJ Watt once doesn't mean that he always handled pressure well.

But that's besides the point, we needed Dak's running ability and escapability to deal with the pressure we were giving up today.

YR
Dak's lack of pocket presence made the pressure seem worse than it actually was. Romo didn't have any pockets that clean in games against elite pass rushers until 2013.

Yawn

Both have their team in first place

Yeah, what I'm saying is that Dak hasn't been anything special this year, even considering in the lens of being a second year QB.

Define what being "anything special" means to you.

Has he been Tom Brady? No.

But he's been on par with or better than a lot of other supposed elite or on the cusp of being elite QB's, such as Matt Ryan, Derek Carr, Philip Rivers and many more.

Dak's a good, young QB that in time will continue to get better. Stop comparing him to Romo. By the time Romo became the starter, he had been on the bench for three seasons and was able to learn from a few different veteran QBs for that time. Romo had his own struggles against good to great defenses early in his career, too. Dak will be fine. He's played well enough to win in every game besides the Denver game. That's four very good to elite defenses. When he throws three TDs against GB next week and we score 35 points, don't whine and gripe if the defense gives up 45 and we lose.

Dak's mechanics just aren't where they need to be yet. He makes good decisions which is usually the thing you can't coach. But until Dak can throw a 10-15 yard in route to an outside WR it is going to be tough for him.

Stats don't really support your argument at all. Also the Rams defense is STILL better than the Cowboys defense BY FAR. So I am not sure what you are arguing.

Just because those QBs haven't been up to their usual standards doesn't make Dak's performance anything better than average.

How many SB wins does Romo have? Hell, NFC championship appearances? We can keep one upping all day.
No we can't because your argument was that Dak has done more than Romo and that's not true.

I agree. However, most people's problem is that they think Romo should still be the starting QB. Romo's body was clearly shot. He is happily in the studio now. People need to move on.
