There is no pretending. He had one drive where he had consistent throws in rhythm with the same launch point. And that was the last TD drive and we scored easily. He took brutal his all game long on the throws he was able to get off.

Personally, I'm more concerned about Tyron at this point. He's not exactly been playing that well prior to this but he was poor today and I wonder just how bad those back issues are. And EE's blocking today was terrible. We need to adjust the offense if he's not going to block better and help out.

Just continue to refer back to my other posts, you are pretending things happened that didn't. This level of excuse making is, well, just ridiculous. He had enough time to make some big time throws, he failed, that's all there is to it.

Due to last year's season, Dak has earned 2 years to develop and prove himself. You don't become elite that fast. Russell Wilson has been great for 5 seasons now and people still are hesitant to put him in the "elite" class w/ Brady/Rodgers. You can argue that Matt Ryan, after EIGHT seasons, finally reached elite level last season.

You can't buy into the talk that the Cowboys have all the pieces in place for any QB to come in and lead them to a Super Bowl because that talk is completely false. The pieces are in place for a young QB to help make a team competitive, which is what we see now. But it's still nowhere near SB-caliber...so until those pieces are in place, no inexperienced QB is gonna be elite here.

For those making the Alex Smith comparisons (which i think are valid) - Dak and Alex both had the same tutor - Dan Mullen.

And homers like you fail to see the OL, Zeke, our defense tackling, our safety play has regressed this year.

I thought Byron was excellent today. Woods looked good although he was mostly doing short zone coverage. Frazier is what he is...a coverage liability that tackles well so you don't want him in coverage too much. Heath makes way too many mistakes for a safety. If I'm Garrett, I start to consider starting Woods over Heath.

How many second-year QB's are playing as well as Dak right now?

Hell, how many QB's in the NFL period not named Tom Brady-Aaron Rodgers-Drew Brees are playing as well as Dak?

He's not been perfect, but he's been damn good.

Both Goff and Dak are playing well IMHO.

The "Goff is a bust" talk from last year is over.

Who is saying he's an elite QB? Don't take a couple of comments from CZ posters as gospel and hold it against the guy. He's playing great for a second year QB, better than a lot of NFL starters right now with much more seasoning than he has.
There a more than a few posters saying he's the same or better than Romo ever was, which is saying he's an elite QB, since Romo was elite in 2014 and really close to it in a few other years.

As for how I'd say Dak has been this year, I'd say this year has been good for a second year starter, but I can't really call it great. I'd put it about the same as what Goff and Wentz have been doing all things considered.

Yes. Those lanes would've stayed open. The defense isn't good. And take away Sean Lee? Ok.

LOL excuses are always cute.

AGAIN, we were playing for the pass despite seeing Gurley run all over us. Does this not tell you something? We were more worried about the throws than Gurley on the ground....

And once again, you ignore the play of the OL in the run game or Zeke hitting the right holes, or the recievers getting open the 2nd half, or the defense stopping Gurley who had a combined 200 yds, or the defense tackling, or the safeties who were getting abused.

So second-year QB's are playing like second-year QB's?

You don't say...

Dak played more than “good enough “ to win. He is better than just a game manger. He was rushed and hit a lot. He gives me hope for this team a few years down the road when we draft better on D. Our OL is in transition and the secondary is young and lacks talent in places. The front 7 seems to struggle without Lee,,go figure. This could be a long season until the OL gells, if it does at all. And as long as Lee plays the D will be respectable hopefully. But this ain’t a playoff team now. But the season is long. We need to beat the Packers or Chiefs, however. If we find ourselves 2-4 or 3-5 AND lose Zeke for 6 games, we might be in deep doo doo.

What?

Another classic YR passive-aggressive mention on Romo. Wouldn't have escaped the pressure? Have you ever seen You Tube clips of him running for his life in the early years and creating drives out of nothing?

If not go ahead and respond and I will post the link.

And no, we would not have lost by 3TD's with him. We might not have won but that's just a dumb statement.

For God's sake move on, and stop with that embarrassing stuff.

Move on yourself.

Just because he escaped from JJ Watt once doesn't mean that he always handled pressure well.

But that's besides the point, we needed Dak's running ability and escapability to deal with the pressure we were giving up today.
