I absolutely adore Girardi and how he apologized to his team after game two.

What a true manager. Type of manager a team loves playing for.

Girardi is a hell of a human being, and this is coming from a person who, generally, hates the MFY.

Especially when they take up half my stadium. Grrr :)

Let me reflect back in this series.

As much as I hated the mistakes Girardi made on friday.

By him apologizing and getting emotional about this team... I think he took them from level 4 of Team chemistry to level 5 with that.

In a weird, wacky fudged up way.... Girardi won this series and catapulted this team(these guys love him) to being the hottest team and the perfect time.

To reiterate, I don’t think we win this series if it was 1-1. I think Cleveland eventually wins best of 5. The supercharger that was injected into this team was because of Friday night.

So the Astros are playing the Yankees? As a Texan, I must say *** da Dan Jankees, Ese!!!!

LOL... Years ago, when my Kids were still young, I used to try and take them to stuff as a family, just cause I felt like it was a positive thing. Anyhow, one year I took them to a Hotel with a water park in it. When we drove up, the valet guy came out to get the car. I was wearing a Yankees Summer League Yankees Cap. The guy looks at me and says, "Ju like da Jankees? I like da Jankees too!" LOL......

Once in a while, my Wife will sit down and watch games with me. She also likes the Yankees. In fact, when she married me, she just kinda took on all the same teams I did so she will watch just about any game with me. Anyhow, she will sometimes look at me and ask me, out of the blue, "Ju like the Jankees? I like the Jankees too!"

Your post kinda reminds me of that. Good stuff!

Yankees & Astros.

I don't see the Astros winning being clear-cut as many do (not necessarily here in this forum).

I think it's going to come down to the Yankee starters and them being able to keep the Yankees close until their relievers take over. Collectively the Yankee relievers are better than the Astro relievers and that's where the Yankees have a chance. Going into the 6th inning down 5-1 won't do it. The Astro offense is pure mayhem and the Yankee starters have to get to the later innings without having a big deficit.

The Yankees starters have really pitched well this postseason.

I’m super excited, Mike, and hope it’s competitive

Personally I find the Yankees story this year to be amazing.

No one picked them to go this far. Heck many had them last in the division. And the thing is they could be a force to rekon with for years to come. Their farm system still has a lot of talent and they're now in the position to be buyers during free agency with ARod's and CC's contracts coming off the books.

It's a unique Yankee team that's not comparable to any that came before it.

Fox has to giggling like a 12 Y/O girl at the thought of Yankee/Dodger WS. I do agree that BB is more interesting when NYY are relevant. I think Altuve continues his tear, and Correa shows up big, but I have been wrong before.

That’s not true.
I really felt like they would continue that rise from last season.

Posted as much, you beat me up a little.... but .... I am sure we are both happy about it ;-)

CC earned a one year deal for next year... and I mean he earned it during no regular season.
He and Judge are the reasons they are here!

I’m not a Stros fan — in fact, my team and they are rivals.

From the games I watched, the Stros look like a damned force, Floaty. With that said, the Yanks did beat a team that everyone had picked to represent the AL in the WS.

No bets, but it’ll be fun to watch :)
Interesting matchup. Astros have the hitting and the Yankees have the pitching.
