I am sort or surprsed that Wilber has stuck around this long. He really isn't very good. He is an old rusty swiss army knife that really doesn't do much of anything well.

He replaced Wilson for the last half of the Packers game.

He is good on Special teams and can backup both LB and DE positions

The Dallas Cowboys are interested in “exploring the idea” of signing free-agent middle linebacker NaVorro Bowman, a source tells me - but that’s a far cry from actually pulling the trigger on acquiring the four-time All-Pro released by the San Francisco 49ers on Friday.

Navorro Bowman - LB - Free Agent
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports free agent ILB Navorro Bowman is expected to sign with a new team "no later than Monday."

It is not a surprise considering the 49ers said several teams were interested in a trade before they decided to release the linebacker on Friday. The Raiders and Patriots are two contenders who could use some help at linebacker.

Sure we are interested, but he probably wants like 500K per year or something. Way too rich for Stephen.......

That or he wants a multi-year deal and we're only interested in a one year

This is actually why I said we're not interested.......being on a bye gives us a huge advantage of having plenty time to get this done. Not to his agent and Jerry a have long history of working together. In fact, wouldn't surprise me at all if we were one of the top 3 teams originally contacted by his agent.

As a vested veteran player, he became a free agent the minute he was cut by the 49ers.
