Yeah. But the silence on his medical condition has been deafening. This is the weirdest concussion protocol I’ve ever seen for a guy that didn’t appear to be hit that hard when it apparently occurred. Did I miss the in depth explanation of why he missed so much time and had so few updates on his condition? I find this situation completely bizarre. But glad he’s healthy enough to get back cuz he looks like a playmaker.

I still think they were hiding him. Now unleash this monster and let's have some fun!

Luke Keuchly seem not to have had that hard of a hit last year. and he missed a good 6 weeks, By the time he was cleared, they had 2 games left, and was out of the playoffs. so kept him out the rest of the season.

So you can never tell the extent of these injuries.

Well I would. like to see Rico in real games. it is time. This may not be popular, but it is time to start a transition from the greatest TE ever to his heir apparent. So we need to see if Rico can show he can be that player, or isa they need to dip into another draft pick in 2018.

Hopefully that’s the angle. Cuz any other explanation doesn’t make much sense at this point.

They have been weird with Rico since we drafted him IMO. Very quiet actually. Last year we hear from Church and others that no one could contain him on Scout team, but still very quiet. It's like he's our secret weapon or something.

It's ok, Witt is a God, but he needs to be a PT player now. This offense needs athleticism at the TE position.

True. But with Luke the whole thing LOOKED horrific. Helped off the field. Balling. Delirious. The guy was in a world of hurt. Brutal scene. His extended absence wasn’t a shocker to anyone after seeing that. That’s a pretty stark contrast to the optics of the Rico injury.

Don't think they were hiding him. You can't get out of the protocol without having gone through a practice. He hasn't been eligible to practice.

Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I think you are putting waaay too much faith in this staffs ability to find a way to use any player with an "outside the box" skill set.

I am, but the post pattern worked pretty good this PS anyway with him.....that's more than Witt has got now.

And he's eligible to play next week I believe.

Rico said he's ready to go on his instagram. Wonder if his concussion is mysteriously better now.

For one thing, despite his inexperience, his size alone makes him a better blocker than most of our other options. He would be a great help running and receiving in the red zone.

He missed plenty of blocking assignments in preseason and being away from practice for two month's isn't a positive, he's still very raw....

It was a bad head injury. I think I'd rather sit him the rest of the season and see where he's at in the summer.

But I like the mindset of getting rid of Witten. It has to happen.
