Morris? Smith? DMC?

Who do you start? Who comes off the bench and when? Do you go get someone?

alf on 1st and second downs along with short yardage/goalline with dmc as the third down back.

I would not be surprised if Smith did the best. I am not saying he will but it would not surprise me one bit.

Desire and effort cannot be overlooked. Morris and McFadden are just collecting a check these days.

Zeke, still holding out hope that he "stays" this nonsense

other than Zeke, first few games, Morris...once DMC gets his game legs under him, easily him

Yeah, this is what I see too.

What I hope is that if Elliott is suspended for sure that they actually give Rod Smith a fair chance.

A lot of confidence for a 30 year old RB who’s touched the ball about 35 times since 2015....Smith might actually be our best shot but I have little to no confidence in him either.

Hope I’m wrong, but I think there will be a whole lot of disappointment in what this team becomes without Zeke

Alf is the lead back........RSmith spells him and DMC is insurance

We have to change the whole blocking scheme for DMC

Unless we trade for Devonte Booker in the next hour

McFadden had ball security issues this past preseason and imo is not as good as Morris in blitz pickup, but as far as speed and agility goes he is #1 there
Morris has good ball security, good blitz pickup / block skills, and the best vision, but lacks speed and agility, so I think he's our #1 short yardage back
Smith is the wildcard since he's had so few snaps we don't really know what we have, but in his flashes he looks to be decisive north /south and hard to tackle in the open field. jury still out on ball security and blocking

I would not be shocked if we look at Rod Smith a little differently at the end of this thing.

I really like the way he runs.

McFadden, to me, has always looked better then Morris but for some reason I just feel like its Morris's time to shine.

Alfred Morris is my answer.

it's funny because in the past dmc was the best blocker and morris was always the work in progress for pass protection. i haven't watched either enough lately to know where they stand now.

agreed i'd like to see rod as well but not sure how to start; maybe he could be a change of pace/ breather for alf until we see more? alf and dmc are FAs at year end and i'd like to know how much we need to prioritize a back up rb in the offseason.

I wish they'd let Smith take the reigns and see what he can do.

He really impressed me in the PS.

But we all know they'll rely on the vets
not sure how well Smith performs in blocking assignments but his running in PS impressed me too.......would hope he gets a serious chance to show what he can do

It would not surprise me one bit for Dmac to be the lead back and morris to keeps his role pretty similar to what he does now and with more touches for Smith. Out of all the backs, Dmac is by the far the best running back we have not named Zeke.
