He won 2 but really it was like 4 as he was able to have good enough seasons to get a bye twice. To me a bye is the equivalent of a playoff win. So the score would be 4 to 1 then (Romo vs Dak)

I always considered Tony was playing by himself, and with no other offensive player on the field back when the team stunk. So even losing a play-off game was like winning 3 Super bowls.

My opinion is he has like 7 or 8 Super bowl victories now.

You changed your avatar to a Vikings helmet, on a damn Cowboys message board what the hell do you expect? I call bs, deal with it.
You are so petty. Case Keenum played his high school football in Abilene Texas where I live. I am going to support him for making to the NFL and I don't care if you like it or not. Deal with it. GO COWBOYS!!! and GO KEENUM!!!

I could have sworn that you mentioned him being from your hometown in some thread, or this one i don't know? I was going to bring it up earlier. I have NP with you rooting for your hometown athlete and putting up his pic or whatever. I wish your hometown guy the best of luck.

Kyle Anderson of the Spurs is from my hometown. The Lakers wont make the playoffs this season, i want Kyle to get a ring. Go Spurs, but really i don't give a **** about the spurs, just Kyle.

I love Kyle "Slo-Mo" Anderson but full disclosure, I am a diehard Spurs fan. The Lakers are working their way back to prominence so be patient. Thanks for the good wishes for my hometown guy, Case Keenum.

I have no problem being patient now that jeanie got Magic in the building again. All i want from the Lakers is improvement and hustle. 35 wins would be nice. Don't want to divert the thread so, you can go to NBA thread in sports and can go on in there, but yea your right. I like Pop also. Duncan was all class and greatness, him and Kobe were the greats of that age.

Some of you would get a whole lot more respect if you just come out and say you just don't like Dak for whatever reason other than football. I can name a few, but it's not necessary...you know who you are. It really makes your football IQ look bad. The guy has been very good besides a couple games. In order for Dak to be good for some of you, he needs to win 1 vs 11. Smh.

This notion that Tony has been playing with nobody is pure fantasy... like he hasn't had prime Jason Witten, prime Dez Bryant, Terrell Owens, Martellus Bennett, Anthony Fasano, Felix Jones, Marion Barber, Roy Williams, and Demarco Murray on his offense. During his 8 and 8 years, he had a bad o line, but this notion that Tony was the only talented player on the team and merely carrying everyone else is revisionist history. On the defensive side of the ball, he's had Hall of Famer Demarcus Ware. Bennett and Ware both played significant roles on other teams, and have become superbowl champs.

You specifically pointed out 2 of the "important players" are out - one isn't even on the offensive side of the ball, so really has nothing to do with Dak.

So for Dak to play at an acceptable level, he needs the entire supporting cast of great players and a good coaching staff or else he'll play like a backup? Somehow, he's not the issue. The guy that is in charge of the offense and can't get us a TD isn't the problem, it's Smith and Lee being out....

I'm not saying Smith and Lee isn't hurting our team being out, but this is not enough to explain how poorly Dak has looked. Sorry, it's just not.

I'm not impressed with the excuses being made here.

Tyron Smith and Zeke Elliott are not probably 2 of our 3 most important players on this team and are not on the offensive side of the ball?

Ok, so last years leading rusher who was starting to collect that type of yardage before suspension isn't important. OK.

Oh, the leagues best Left Tackle, as he has been the consensus all pro at that position and is the main player to protect the QB is not important either.

quote my quote and read it again. Then tell me if you want to use the word specifically again in your quote.

Oh and you refer to Sean Lee, who is our defensive captain not having anything to do with Dak. Neither side of the ball have anything to do with the others according to you I guess and each captain on either side of the bal doesn't either. Thanks for the tutelage.

Who said they weren't important? I am saying, losing two players on offense should not prevent you from being able to move the ball consistently and to score. Do you get we've had one meaningful TD the past two weeks? One came on a turnover.

Again, the excuse that not having Smith and Zeke doesn't work for me - it's one thing to see the offense struggle, it's another for our offense to be completely stalled and unable to function like an NFL offense.

We still have all our WRs
We still have our starting TE
We still have Martin, Frederick, and Collins
Morris gave Dak 91 yards and averaged 5.1 YPC

The excuse of not having Zeke and Smith here isn't working - there are still plenty of players to work with.

And no, Lee has nothing to do with our offense. Our defense kept the Eagles to 7 points for a couple quarters, yet we only managed 9 points.

You bring up an interesting point. I don't know about 15-20, but there certainly would be calls if he were available. The Cowboys are in a unique position that a 4th round QB is worth more than his original draft position just a little over half way through his second year. The question is how much more is he worth now? Would Jerry consider selling high on Dak? His contract is certainly not an issue...and it makes him an even more valuable trade option.

I doubt this organization has any interest in fielding offers.

The same salary advantage that would attract the rest of the league is the same on our side.

Now Jerry did experience the Herschel Walker deal and this FO or any FO in the league would probably accept that type of trade for any player in this league but because of the salary cap era the closest thing to something like that is an RG111 type of thing which was a while ago also or what Roseman did to finagle up into the draft. In that case the Eagles do not look fleeced.

I'm not interested in excuses, but there's more than Zeke, Tyron Smith, the defense getting scored on, Sean Lee being injured. Jerry's war and the media action it's causing. The suspensions on defense beyond Zeke's suspension, who by the way the team's owner, who own's the most expensive sporting franchise in the world and is going toe to toe against the whole league over the RB suspension, should tell you how important it is in missing him.

A lot of excuses that have nothing to do with Dak.

Want to add coaching also or not?

Remember this thread is about trading Dak Prescott who just lost to the best team in the league and the team that made the Superbowl last year and was inches from winning. Oh, they're also on an upswing again and in a wild card position.

Weeks before that he loses to Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers and almost won that one himself with no defense and Zeke going through another week of not knowing when/if he'll play.

Anyways, go trade Dak and tell us all what you can get for him and where it is going to come from? Then let's continue this and quit talking about excuses..

Nobody is defending and nobody cares about excuses. I do not see where Dak Prescott is the primary problem with this team and how trading him would overcome all the the facts I have stated that would effect any QB/player in this league.

The defense held the Eagles offense to 7 points in the first half, we could only get field goals. And we couldn't even get that in the second. We are talking offense here, what did you want our D to do? Keep their offense to 7 the entire game? Come on, man.

I think Dak is a big problem, not the only problem. However, he is the QB and losing two players on offense makes him look like a backup QB? Yeah, he has a lot to answer for here. This doesn't mean the coaches get off the hook, but neither does he.

And I'm not even discussing the off the field stuff - there is no way to prove that is doing anything on gameday.
