I am not only a poor typist but an even poorer proof reader. I type like I am wearing boxing gloves and only passed typing in high school because the hottest teacher of all time gave me a D so I wouldn't come back, drop pencils and try and look up her skirt. I had no idea she knew, the first clue must have been pencils in a typing class?

My compliments to the chef for the speed of this site and the response rate is terrific. I will have to be extra careful before hitting that Post button. I am used to having time to proofread before it actually does anything but just hangs there prompting me into action like repeatedly punching the elevator button to hurry it along.

While my cohorts and I lament the closing of our previous asylum, and more the manner in which that was executed, this is a great thing that has happened for us.....not to us. We are on a better site and most are still here together to make new acquaintances and create new arguments or the same old arguments with new posters making those new arguments or the same old arguments with old arguers.

To the former members of the old forum that are here for the first time. I was here once before and this is, by a long shot, a better forum but I returned because you weren't here. But, now you are and nothing but good times ahead. T

The fact is I was getting bored and losing interest and I find myself renewed, or that's just the meds kicking in, but don't spend too much time mourning the old site or how we were treated with it's closing because we are already being treated better here than we were there. Your host, Reality, already bent the rules for us to accelerate the privileges of this site to accommodate the refugees. And the technical aspect of this site is like going from an Amish buggy, wearing a dirty blue shirt and a scraggly beard, to a race car and we're darned near handsome.

But yea, you can’t comeback and edit later on. You do recieve more time to edit once posted as you build privileges. And if you make a mistake or misspell in title just message a Mod or Reality and they’ll fix it.

They don’t mess around here, run a clean site which won’t be welcoming to some of the trolls and clique . I like the disciplinary format. There’s no wondering where the boundaries are.

That said there’s still much humor here and serious discussions for all to enjoy.

I might as well compose a "Help" template that I can save and send because I spent more time correcting posts because I wouldn't catch a mistake until someone responded. I didn't like proofreading because by the time I read it, I forgot it was mine and was already arguing with it. Or my mind was already moving onto something else, probably something shiny.

Good thing we didn't have to wander 40 years looking for a home and sacrificing nubile young women on golden statues. OK, I'm lying about the nubile young women cuz that would be cool. And golden statues beats flashing disco floors any day. I just don't have any statues handy.

Yea, I had friends who had popped into the old site over the years and thought it was childish , overly Romo homerish and didn’t understand why I stayed there but after years you become invested much like being a fan.

Most I know are on bloggintheboys which I joined 5 or 6 years ago and is a much more informative site with good writers one of which I know personally but with little activity discussing issues back and forth.

When we came here at the end of 2016 with the fallout over there we all realized this was a better site but like you said that was Home.

If this new technological era has taught us nothing else a new home is only a click away. Apparently all or most of the official sites in the NFL according to a Mod are becoming a thing of the past.

I checked this site out years ago but chose the DC official site only because it was Jerry owned and he was my target. But my time there grew and it became much more than just calling Jerry out. I had joined this site and mainly just peeked in for years. Then the site updated a few years ago like dc.com and wiped all of that.

No doubt this was the better site all along. And by far now with their updates a couple years ago.

Oh yeah, buster? I am getting up there in years and still have a lot of words rolling around in there and I can't take them with me. I hate to get to wherever I'm bound and think 'damn, wish I'd written that'.

Was that what the angry face was for, the length of the post?

Ya know, reading is an elective and not required here, or did I miss that in the rules? Or is there a space issue that I am not aware of. If so, they should have character limits posted and I will be more than happy to comply or take my longwinded self elsewhere.

We made it alright. It was a technical problem for a lot of members quite a few times and seemed to be a real struggle for those using cross platforms.

It would not surprise me if they're happy it's gone. The overall tone was negative with a lot of venom directed at Booger and Garrett. If someone went in there without knowing the record of the last two seasons, they would never guess 22-11.
