Im not concerned about it. With less experience, given time to throw and even on the run his rookie year and 8 games into his 2nd year he was plenty accurate. 103 QB rating average through 28 games. The problem occured when the personnel changed around him.

Deny it all you want, he was inaccurate those first 8 games too. Dont bother posting his completion percentage. Until he can consistently throw the ball down the field (which he wasnt able to do all 16 games this season), there are going to be valid concerns going forward. I hope he works it out, nobody wants to start over at QB.....even the "Dak Haters"...

My takeaway here:

As long as everyone on the offense stays healthy, we don't face any competition and don't ask Dak to win any games for us, he'll have excellent numbers?

Okay, cool.
Guess you didnt watch the Pittsburgh game last yr? Elliot won the game with the run, but Dak made that drive with passes to Witten and Beasley on 3rd down. Thats the type of game Romo would've lost with a INT

I don't think there was nearly the difference between the 2016 Dak and the 2017 version that those numbers show. Big difference in the conditions under which he was operating, but only slight differences in the way he responded to them.

when pressured on ≥ 40% of dropbacks in game
2016 (3 games)
48 of 94 (51%) 591 yd (6.3 ypa) 4 td 3 int 71.7
2017 (8 games)
161 of 257 (63%) 1526 yd (5.9 ypa) 5 td 12 int 66.1

when pressured on < 40% of dropbacks in game
2016 (14 games)
287 of 403 (71%) 3378 yd (8.4 ypa) 22 td 2 int 112.5
2017 (8 games)
147 of 233 (63%) 1798 yd (7.7 ypa) 17 td 1 int 109.3
Why dont you put up Romo's numbers when he was pressured? He didnt wait to get hit when blitzed, he just fell to the ground.

You're out of your mind. The whole game minus one deep pass toe Dez was the Zeke show.

Dak had one touchdown and 224 yards when you remove Elliott from the mix.

That compared to Roethlisberger who had 3 touchdowns and 408 yards and completely outplayed Prescott...

More like the type of game Romo wins by two touchdowns. But keep trying with the dopey narratives, as if Romo couldn’t throw two yard passes to wide open slot receivers and tight ends.

I shot a 34 on the front nine in my round of golf today.

Second nine I accidentally broke my driver and shot a 50.

Oh, but I'll ignore what I ACTUALLY shot, and just give myself an excuse to dismiss the back nine. I'll double my front nine score instead. Nice, I shot a 68!

No. Just no.

Good quarterbacks don't need everything perfect to be effective. Your argument is beyond flawed.

Look, I was a strong Dak supporter after last year. But it should be clear to anyone who is objective that Dak regressed this year. And two things concern me beyond his supporting cast:
1. He was inaccurate on MANY throws. That has NOTHING to do with talent. He simply flat out missed opened receivers.
2. He was not able to elevate the team merely by his play alone. As an elite quarterback, we need him to win for us when the talent around him is not up to par. He didn't do that this year.

Now ...

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because he just completed his second year. And he's not getting any help from Jason Garrett. So we'll see. But if the inaccuracies continue, we're in serious trouble because those don't tend to correct themselves. However, there is hope because he was pretty accurate his rookie year.

Dak's third year is going to be a big one for him and the Cowboys

In reply to number two, in fairness, Aikman didn’t really elevate either.

Ive never been in the camp to diss Dak, even though I was a big Romo fan.
I think Dak will be just fine

But by this random, hysterical, butt-hurt, wimpering rant....I think its safe to say that someone (erod maybe?) really got under someone's thin skin
:lmao:

Latin Mind short buser, always revealing his hate

One of the more elusive QBs and a master of the spin move, etc....yeah, he just fell to the ground his whole career.

Well, if you are a Romo fan, it means you hate Dak.

CBZ logic.

Get with the program.

If you eliminate all of his bad games and double his good games.....well...what now, haters?!

Pfffft. We're the Dallas Cowboys. Let's not settle for this marginal player. Let's get a true franchise QB who makes the players around him better.
