We have the best player personnel in football.Danny Amendolla is to small , too slow, no need to keep him and to think our coach is still around. It does wear on you doesn't you.

Actually we had a decent WR group when Amendola was here. There was no room for him. But hey, some what to be blind on hindsight on some things, but have 20-20 vision on other hindsight topics.

Ammendola has been key to the Pats success, but he has been good for them for a # of years. Gronk goes down at the half...NO PROBLEM! It's really amazing what the Pats do with that offense, it's so untypical but it works like clockwork. Love to see Tommy get another one, good kid. Exactly the kind of offense that Dak needs as his accuracy and long ball are not there but he should be able to play the short game.

Amendela has barely been a JAG his entire career.

He has never surpassed 700 yards or 5 touchdowns and he has missed a lot of time due to injuries.

The contract the Patriots originally gave to him was actually a huge bust considering he was probably the 4th best target on the team at the time. He took a tremendous pay cut to stay with the Patriots. Now due to injuries he gets a chance and succeeds like almost any receiver that Brady chooses to target.

It’s BRADY that is the key to the success...not a redeicer that has been a JAG for his career. In 9 seasons, Amendela hasn’t even surpassed 5,000 yards. He should just thank Brady that he chose to make him king for a day because all of his more preferred targets are injured.

They tried to keep him and wanted to keep him. That is why they let him develop on the practice squad. They were giving him time to put on weight and be ready for the following season. He left on his own.

He was supposed to replace Wes Welker and could not live up to that standard.

I'm pissed that NE is going again....but I chalk up my pissness to being jealous of NE....I hate to say that...the Cowboys loosing our TE would have been catastrophic and our coaching staff wouldn't know how to handle it....they are just well coached and any player can come in and play and not lose much where they take over...Hell...they replace 20 players from last years championship team and they're back in the championship game..AGAIN....its a testament to their coaching...and we have....well...never mind...depressing.....

Here’s a couple of threads on Amendola from 08 and 09.

Isn't it a bit late to rue Amendola?

He was on Dallas' practice squad in 2008. ANY of the 31 other teams could have signed him at any point that season, and it wasn't until late the Eagles were the only ones that did.

And they let him go, too.

The Pats get gifted PI’s and no holding calls, the Jags switch to a soft zone to allow... oh wait this is about jag receivers looking special on 5 yd slants...

We never gave Danny much of a chance. I saw the potential at the time and always wondered why we seemed to actively move him on.

If Brady threw his touchdowns to some of the Patriots' other 12 or 13 weapons, would this thread even exist?

No offense to anybody, but I doubt Amendola was the missing piece to a championship in Dallas all this time. Tom Brady made Deion Branch a Super Bowl MVP. Case closed.

Danny Amendola looks good because Tom Brady is throwing the ball to him. If Amendola was out Brady would make another average player look great. That’s just the way it is.

You, sir........beat me to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, if you're going to call PI, call it both ways. JAG receivers were getting tackled. And the holding was horrific. On NE's first down play on 3rd and 9, the Defender got raped. I mean, it was bad. Obvious call.

Brady needed a lot of help in this one. Sad.

Amendola has a career high in catches and yards with the Rams in 2010. He caught 85 passes with the Rams that year.

When it comes to coaching, adjusting, gamesmanship, we are on the very end of the spectrum as the Patriots. We cannot sniff what they are doing and probably never will. :(
