Just like other people that have played the game say about Dez - he’s a bad route runner and he no longer gets separation. But, keep your brand going.

That’s funny, because even Stephen just said Dak doesn’t have the chemistry with Dez that Romo did but he believes that can be improved.

Dez has NEVER been known for his speed or separation.

Ironic that all you homers were saying Dak improved this off-season with Dez and worked on his deep ball and accuracy and yet, he regressed and threw pick 6s at a ridiculous rate and none of them were to Dez, but other WRs..

You guys even tried blaming Dak’s inability to hit Cole Beasley accurately on short routes as Dez’s fault, when Dez is downfield the whole time with our routes..

All that hard work and he got worse.. then you guys blamed everybody else. Couldn’t even get more than 6 points against Philly’s third string defense..

I said earlier, Witten should lead the way when it comes to paycuts. Put the pressure on Dez. But I promise you, you'll never hear a peep about a Witten paycut from Stephen Jones. Hell you barely hear it on CZ....WHY?

Probably because Witten’s cap hit is only 6.5MM compared to 16MM on Dez.

Witten should be restructured. But it’s no surprise he gets less focus considering his cap hit less than half of Dez’s.

However you want to look at it, Dez got paid a lot of money for a little impact this season. I don't think recognizing that fact is a bad thing.

What surprises me is to hear the organization saying it so bluntly right at the start of the offseason. I would have thought this was a topic they'd be handling with kid gloves until they had an alternative in place.

They may have done that if Dez had handled things differently to end the season. But since he laid all his cards out on the table and threw some people under the bus in the process they probably felt like they might as well throw a few cards down themselves, if for no other reason, so Dez understands that the days of the team blindly backing him and relying on faith that he would one day return to form are over. He needs to fully understand that his contract to this point has been HORRIFIC for the Cowboy organization with a capital H and that if there is any chance at all of him coming back next year it begins and ends with a pay cut.

1. I think you're stupid if you believe Dez didn't get separation during the Romo years

2. You are stupid if you believe that Romo threw balls and hit this magical spot and that made Dez a 1,000 yard receiver

We aren’t the Pats to run their type of system.

We were moving towards a Erhardt-Perkins conceptual philosophy with Callahan, but Garrett sabotaged him.

If we change the offense now, it’ll once against demonstrate Garrett has no clue and we wasted some more years protecting this clown at the expense of everybody else.

I honestly think Dez could be better with a half way decent coach calling plays. although after watching this......

I think Dez may have lost a step....or 3. Draft a stud WR and begin the transition this year

Stephen confirms Dez is a distraction. That can't be good for him sticking around. Of course, it also undermines any trade value he might have, which might not be much anyway.

That's awesome...AB throwing water coolers and OBJ trying to beat up the kicker net are distractions but they're safe...Dez pissed he's stuck with a QB that needs work and stuck with crappy coaches is a distraction but they need a scapegoat.

dez is going to suffer the fate as some of the coaches when u win thirteen games one year and then the next you look like your pretty average coaches and players alike suffer for this its what happens when u don't win

The way Stephen spoke of Dez on HWTB, it makes me think they’ll be moving on from Dez. He specifically highlighted the lack of chemistry with Dak, the sideline distractions, and also not living up to his contract. Obviously they can’t commit to moving on from him until they see how the draft plays out, but that was the impression he seemed to give. That’ll be a sad day for me.

Do you think our dysfunctional front office and coaching staff can fix our problem ?
Yes. Get a better backup OT and keep Zeke off the BS suspension list greatly improves the Cowboys offense. Greatly!

Add in Rico and the addition of another WR and they will be top 5 just like last year.
