This is why I'm totally on board with drafting Wynn or Hernandez at 19.

Nope.

If you need to use ANOTHER first round pick on an OG the problem isn’t the players, it’s the coaching and other factors.

If you draft Hernandez at 19 that gives you 5 first round talents along the OL. Is that necessary? And what if that doesn’t work? What’s the next step? Only use Top Ten picks on OL?

Isaiah Wynn,Will Hernandez or Billy Price at 19.
Our OL is the one position group that is one up-grade away from being dominant.

And the defense continues to muddle around as middle of the pack and then when we fail to do anything again next year, guys will come back here and claim how can we expect to win anything when we lack elite playmakers on defense.

Unless an OL is the far and away best player at 19 (which basically would describe one guy - Nelson), using another top asset on an OL that already has four top talents on it, would be highly questionable to me.

If it takes 5 first round talents to have a dominating oline ill take it.
And to the detriment of every other position. It makes ZERO sense to me....I simply cannot comprehend ignoring DT, LB, S, WR, TE to have a 5th first round pick on the OL.
It's the exact opposite of us ignoring the OL all those years....

How was the Raiders line in the top 10, they were complete garbage this year. Guess what does that say of our line. One game did us in, you give up 8 sacks to one guy not 2, you dont deserve a top 10 ranking ( unless worse line).

if you need five first round picks on the offensive line then you as a team are in deep trouble
Leary was undrafted, Free a 3rd round pick so we did not need 5 1st rounders to be dominant. La'al was moved from RT to LG then back to RT. I think he will settle into that RT position and become dominant. We need Tyron to stay healthy and find a guy that can step in and play if he goes down. Bell is far from any kind of solution at LT or LG. Swing tackle and a LG somehow some way this off season or we could be in trouble again.

My quote was based on the offensive lineman being the BPA and all the blue chip defensive players off the board. I even said that in another post.

Simplistically arrogant offensive scheme puts the offensive line, Dak, Zeke and Dez on an Island where they're set up to fail. I said it before and I'll say it again, when Jason Garrett said at halftime of this year's make or break game against Seattle, they're going to stick to their gameplan of 'wearing out the Seahawks defense', I knew it was time to move on. That said, I'd like to see us draft a RT and move Collins back to LG.

We will do that then around pick 5 start addressing the DL. Then wonder why no name running backs are doing to us what Zeke should be doing to them, because the other team OL dont have that much money spent on them like ours have. Exhibit A see Denver and GB games.

the defense is more than 1 player away.
draft a OG at 19....address defensive needs next.
I'll believe they draft a nose tackle at 19 when I see it.....Derwin James,TreMaine Edmunds,Roquon Smith are likly off the board at 19.....which means its likely the best player available is a OG.
There are alot of DT busts in Rd 1 as well.
My original point still stands... the OL is the one position group that is 1 player away from being elite.
We have SEVERAL needs on defense....we are more than one player away on that side of the ball....and Ive NEVER said use ALL 10 picks on offense.

its a 7 Rd draft....so if we take a OG at 19....then draft defense the rest of the way...how is that a detriment?

LOL, probably because with the 2nd round pick old jerrah would be inclined to go TE like he has at least several times in the past. History dont lie!

Our line has gone downhill since Callahan left. Talent is still there but they need coaching and cohesion. Need to keep Collins at RT and let him grow. Whomever is going to be LG needs to take every snap in the offseason. No more of this rotating people in and out crap

Our line was elite last season without Callahan.

It has a lot more to do with talking a bit with continuity with losing Leary and Free and having Smith miss time with injury.

Show me a post where I didn't say that. Funny how you like to jump on anyone defending the over the top attack on Dak, but never say a word to those blaming it all on Dak.

You white knight Dak as soon as you see him criticized. I don't see people blaming everything on Dak. What I do see are people like you that act like Dak can do no wrong.

And that post you just quoted refuted the notion that it is all on Dak. I argued the point you claim I ignored.

Go figure.

At this point, I think you'd have to rate the top 2 lines as the Eagles and Patriots.

The article states that in the first few months the Eagles' line was not so good. I guess the last two months of the season doesn't count...it's how you finish, not how you start. This writer apparently doesn't see it that way. I'll bet the Eagle OL stats look damn good for the last 8 weeks of the season.

Thats why there's more than one round in the draft.
