News: Dez To Work With “Route Guru”

did you just see what guys were getting paid on the open market? his gravy train is in no jeopardy whatsoever. dude has clearly been rattled by the echo chamber, and seems like he wants to do something about it. the reality is are we really going to harp on a guy for taking steps to improve the area we criticize him the most for?

No they’ll just keep moving the goal posts.

Per the quotes it would seem that it’s been an epic fail by this coaching staff. Not only is Dez looking to be more crafty it will prolong his career, and help him get back to that high level of play. He should be able to do it for another 4 years. Now, it just depends on what type of QB play he gets.

Lol. Can’t just let things go can you? This man is fully saying dez is only asked to run certain routes in this Scheme and can actually run the whole tree if asked. That’s his fault the coaches don’t ask him too?
Come on.

Why would a team not have their #1 WR run all routes?

They've had different offensive coordinators, different head coaches and different WR coaches here since Dez was drafted.

I'm convinced the league knows our coaching is a joke and free agents know it too
we had a down year, barely missed the playoffs..and the coaches suck? lol...Not a JG FAN...but this gets old. What about 2016,2014? They suck then too? The one constant we can agree on might be Derek Dooley was not a good position coach.

Talking about an inability to make a logical arguments, asking a question is not an argument. Begging the question is a cheap rhetorical tactic.

That’s some high praise from a guy who runs incredible routes. I’ll say if what Cole is saying is true it would lead me to believe part of Dez’s drops might be from him over thinking his route running. Obviously with Dak at QB and him getting older he’s got to change his game a bit. Good for him that he’s actually doing something about.

Have they? Garrett...Linehan. Dooley. Actually the one year we had jimmy Robinson here dez had a phenomenal year. So. Ya. Let’s agree to disagree. I wanna know who your draft wr is? I want D.J. moore

What was the forty time for Tremaine Edmunds ?

My saying that Edmunds did not run with people well in space and showing the plays that made me think that he ran that poorly has nothing to do with Dez's route running. I still don't think he is very good in space.

No surer sign that you have no ability to support your argument than trying to deflect as you do here. It's tantamount to a white flag: look at the silly monkey!

You have no idea why Linehan chooses his routes or combinations. That is the bottomline here, Senor Bias.

Robinson believes the Cowboys scheme has something to do with Bryant’s route running. In Bryant’s situation the strength of his game that the Cowboys have noticed is the slant route and jump balls, 50-50 balls, but in Robinson’s opinion he believes Dez can run the whole route tree, he just hasn’t been asked to do so. Robinson also believes the Cowboys should move Dez around more, from outside into the slot some because he’s a mismatch.

No surprise.
IMO we have wasted his career here, luckily he had Romo for his first half of his career.
Dude had freak talent yet we let it go to waste.

what. Your telling me 8 years into this thing with Dez he was never asked to run more routes than 3 he is primarily good at?

I'm like Moore. There is some amount of risk with him but I think he will be good. He ran a lot of short simple routes but I think a lot of that was due to the QB. His RAC is the best in this draft. What pick? Trade back or #19?

Ridley is safer but his upside might be limited.

Third is St. Brown. Highest upside. Probably gets drafted earlier than the media rankings.

Who said your opinion was not to be challenged? Grow a pair and defend it as opposed to this whining. No one is censoring you;; people don't like your opinion. Deal with it.
You're obviously not in full possession of the facts. Try to follow along.

Trade back maybe to mid 20s take Moore get and extra 3rd?? Fix oline with that round

No you're allowed. I just figured you all would be tired of being so negative all the time about almost everything Dallas Cowboys. I was wrong.
Negative? Oh, you mean realistic and honest? Sorry, but not everything is homervision. At some point you can be critical and invite a different perspective besides the sugar coating.

"I'd rather keep all my money and keep the same play...."

Dez trying to make sure he pays off that fine set of wheels and don't end up in a van down by the river

A trainer sees what our coaching staff can't. LOL, SMH

Oh I am livid with this franchise right now. Don’t get it twisted. I hate the current regime in the coaching staff and think they all should have been fired after the Atlanta game

Yes the coach sucked those years too.

2014 Linehan impresses me, and if I’m completely honest Garrett earned some respect when he called the fake punt in the first eagles game. Beyond that though? Sucked

He admits Dez sucked at route running early in his career. That's the first part. Now he is saying Dez is better or exceptional at it.

I believe the first part. The second part may be his real opinion or it may just be him trying to cut Dez some slack. We will never know for sure.
