Hurns is a very good signing. Good player. Solid. Good value. But where does he fit and what does it mean.

Some have said that means we will not draft a receiver high. I'm not convinced of that. It certainly possible, but not nearly a certainty.

I may be in the minority, but I don't think Beasley is the odd man out. He was the guy that was double teamed last year. Switzer is probably safe as well. That's just my opinion.

So that leaves Dez, Hurns, TWill, Noah Brown and Thompson. I guess Thompson could bump Switzer or Switzer could bump Beasley but I don't see that happening.

The Hurns signing makes three Cowboys "bubble guys". I see them as Dez, TWill and Noah Brown. I don't think Hurns was brought on board to replace Brown. Brown might be cut, but we spent money on Hurns.

Hurns is going to be one of your top two guys in terms of salary. He is second only to Dez right now in terms of WR salary.

If we don't draft ANY player at WR then maybe everyone is safe. I just don't see it that way. We just upped our WR percentage of cap today and it was already bloated with Dez.

Looking at next year I see no way Dez is on this team (2019). If that is true and Hurns is not THE GUY then WR remains a high priority in this draft and I would expect one to be taken in the top 4 rounds.

I think it's still plausible that Hurns will be your no 1 receiver this year interns of salary, especially if we draft a WR. The team doesn't have to make the decision on Dez until later. I think there are a lot of variables still in play.

Dez might be a Cowboy or he may not. I think the odds are at least 50/50 that he doesn't play the full year for us in 2018. I could also see Dallas keeping Dez and trading him off to a team who has a WR out for the year in the first two or three weeks and panicks and in that way Dallas could move on from him in that manner as well.

I see dez being a bubble guy but less likely than TWill or Beasley. I think a team would know approaxh dallas about beasley and I think Dallas will approach teams about TWill. I think brown and whoever they keep among udfa or draft pick will compete with lenoir. I do not seeing them drafting a guy high unless its guy no one expected to be there.

Yeah David Helman was asked this and he gave a list of all the wr's we have. he said he couldnt see them taking a wr at 19 and i agree. Although we still are lacking that deep speed guy

They are and should be looking to get more production and less cap at the position
Dez is the one, twill has guaranteed salary and saves very little, I fully expect us to draft a WR
I think the logical guys out are brown and Beasley
But I also think there is a good chance dez is gone and twill next year
But hurn was only signed two years so you kinda have to add some youth at the position
Beasley has trade value, frees up 3 mil and is in the last year of his contract

I expect a WR in this draft
Not convinced it will be at 19
My guess if WR is the first pick it will be lower than 19 so to add another pick
But I think if the right guys are there they’d like to go defense at 19

Good point about it being a contract year for the Beas.

Yeah. They could take a WR anywhere from 1-4 rounds and it would still potentially be a solid pickup.

Would love to see what the boys would do if Vea, Ridley or Sutton and one of the top LB was all on the board when we pick.

Yeah that would be very interesting. I think if Ridley was graded a little higher he would be the pick. I just don't think he is going to grade that high. He may not be the first wide out picked.

Agree, going just on value and the need for the deep ball I think James Washington at 50 might be the perfect fit.

Thompson is lightning in a bottle. I'll bet there are fewer than five faster if that.

If the Cowboys do that they might as well call this season a wash and waste another year of Dak and Zeke.

It's already a wash unless they bring in some starting FA types for this defense and OL. Plus theyd have to have a beyond great draft.
