OK....so we see ALL his good side... where is the bad? Dez has laid down the past 2 seasons and dropped more balls then he has caught, you ask me, my bet is Dak has gotten tired of him dropping, flat out missing or tipping it to the defenders and stopped looking at Dez. Can he be a great/good WR? YES, but not if he isn't in the game. Dak is NOT Romo, Dez needs to take it upon himself to get with Dak and those 2 hit the damn field and learn to hook it up. I'll say this last thing on this, im betting 2018 is a Dak/Dez popcorn eating season...just my gut feeling.
No one is saying he's perfect. Most of those plays in the video were last year (2017-18)2017 is all you need to look at. The drops and turnovers were stunning. Lots of evidence out there.
I agree with the OP. Dez Bryant is the single best outlet to spend 17m$ in cap space next season. What are you going to do, cut him and pay Earl thomas? OBJ? With Dez you’re getting 100 yards for every 2m$ you give him. That’s a steal.
Not saying he is Jerry Rice but Rice, Brown, Irvin, TO, all the greats worked on their routes until they retired. As you lose speed the one place you can make up separation in route runningWhat is this rambling?
The truth is in the middle. Dez has some issues of his own creation. To deny that is absurd. It wasn't Dak that forced him to have his worst year in terms of drops last year. If Dez was so good on route running, why waste time going to a WR "specialist" to work on his route running skills?
This isn't an excuse for Dak, who I tend to agree, is a very risky proposition at this point to think is the long term future at QB here.
LOL at you criticizing anyone for "whining".
And the point with Bryant going to a route running specialist is that a 29 year old WR normally doesn't have to go to a specialist to work on route running, if indeed, he's great at as you have said. Like you always do, you jump to conclusions largely to fit your narrative and argument. I applaud him for working on stuff he feels he needs to work on and going to that guy. I've also said multiple times, I don't think they should cut him. I think people that believe we can find his talent and production off the street are misguided.
But I won't be blind to the reality that some of his issues are self inflicted.
Notice I didn't claim that he didn't get separation? I just got done saying that I don't hate Dez, can you even read? Emotionally invested? Lmao, sure. Whatever you say.The narrative is that he cannot get separation on anything other than the hitch, slant, and go. Do you agree that that narrative is false after watching 130+ plays showing him getting separation on those other routes?
I get that you are emotionally invested in not liking Dez and want to hold onto that but let's talk specifics instead.

Great! But the body of work from last season means more to me than just his good plays. No one is saying he's perfect. Most of those plays in the video were last year (2017-18)

I couldn't possibly care less about hand picked plays. The past will not change. Last season, Dez fell off and he even admitted his shortcomings. Why can't his beloved supporters?
Your exclamation of "geebus" reads like whining. It is what it is. You are being confronted. Now deal with it.
And what basis do you have for what is "normal" for WR to train with in the offseason? Oh yeah, nothing. He didn't "have" to do it. It was completely voluntary.
I did arrive at a conclusion: that your begging the question was assuming a negative answer, specifically in this case, that he is only doing it because he has to do it. You just confirmed it. You whining about me arriving at conclusions is quite ironic given you admitted the negative conclusion don't you think?
Great! But the body of work from last season means more to me than just his good plays.
Imagine if I created a thread of just Dez's drops and turnovers? The Dezzies would riot in the streets.
Nut I get it. Let's just talk about the warm, fuzzy and happy plays!

Sure Dez fell off a little, but not at the rate I see posted in here or blasted in the media. I feel this will be a "comeback" season for DezNotice I didn't claim that he didn't get separation? Did you watch the video? I did. And even the hand picked plays were not all that great. It's getting blown out of proportion. Because he catches a pass doesn't mean he's some genius route runner. Big deal, you found footage of what Dez is SUPPOSED to do.There are about 500 or so pass plays in a season season. That video has about 120 of them. Exactly how many do you think there needs to be before it is not cherry picked and represents a sufficient sample?
You guys act like it is a highlight of a dozen plays. That is not the case.

No one said he "had" to do anything. Just like I never said anything about how he can only run three routes or can't beat top CBs or get separation anymore.
But sure, let's keep just making crap up and creating strawman arguments, something you thrive at.
you said:a 29 year old WR normally doesn't have to go to a specialist to work on route running
I HAVE posted factual and clear evidence of garbage plays. But the same thing happens every time. The Dezzies flock in full force when the bad man says hurt words about Bryant. Supply evidence and it's crickets. It get's completely ignored. So I don't bother to respond to the posturing Dezzies who demand evidence be offered. Go look it up yourself. There are those videos too. He only had 9 drops and fewer picks. Only a couple of the picks are where they clang off his hands and an equal number are horrid throws by Dak.
But hey if you want to present said evidence then go for it. Assuming that it provides the conclusion you want it to is garbge.

Now if he can get his head out of his backside, stop dropping passes, stop fumbling, stop whining on the sideline - crying for the ball in a game we were winning etc....
I choose to look at the entire body of work. Feel free to just point out the sugar coated unicorn dream plays.
