Which makes the way the team went about it all the more egregious. They screwed the pooch on this one big time. To have a guy like Dez offer to take a pay cut and you won't even discuss it? That's not shrewd business, that's personal and being self-righteous and other players are going to remember it.

Meanwhile, Crawford has been collecting paychecks for nothing for years...

you have your pulse on this situation. Couldn't agree more.

Just watched Babe on cbs11. He said He does not believe any players went to garrett about getting rid of Dez.

He also said there was no bigger Garrett fan than Dez and Jason has helped Dez in more things than football and has been good for him.

More importantly he mentioned that Garrett did meet with Dez and urged him to take the high road and not make the situation worse for him I guess.

I am uploading the video to my youtube page as we speak. I will add it to the thread when its done.
I don’t buy them going to Garrett either. But they were apparently in agreement on something, otherwise he wouldn’t have mentioned the “C’s” comment..and I think I know what that something is. Those core group players (and he was one of them) are like your special forces unit. When one of them checks out, when they are being counted on in the most dire situations...(and he checked out) it let the team down. They didn’t trust him after that, because he stepped out of their circle. That’s how Lee rolls too...and Witten. They really have high standards, and a certain code of themselves and other leaders in that small group, and are very unhappy if someone isn’t pulling his weight, and making waves. Never mind Dez is right about the offense,(and he is right) all that matters to those C guys,is don’t work against us and create bad drama. But not only did he do that,he fumbled in a must win situation then sulked on the sidelines, and wouldn’t do what they all do in reworking a contract. And to that last point, which is really a key one with them,it’s like their expected to do fraternity thing. They all do it,or you’re not earning your honors. So while I don’t believe they said,or went to Garrett to push some outing,I do believe the situation I described had influence on people in the building by normal observation in regards to their decisions. When I look at it all,I see a player who was pushing against the team on multiple points, and Dez left Dallas no other options. He wasn’t producing,he publicly called out a coach, and finally wouldn’t take a rework. That’s your 3 big strikes in Dallas that gets anyone canned.

Dez just Shows now why hes been cut. Overdramatic *****ing instead of shutting up when needed.

How do you apply for a new Team with the Acting hes putting up with the Media and Twitter and stuff.

Thats just bad behaviour. He should be really quiet after his terrible last three years.

Hes even saying he wants to stay in the Division to shred the Cowboys 2x a year.

So once again, Dez doesn't get what he wants and throws a tantrum. He goes on camera shortly after being cut and throws people under the bus?
And he doesn't have the balls to call anyone by name, just a round about message. Pure bull.

And who cares why HE THINKS he was let go. Don't consider it's a business and they wanted a change. Nope, gotta invent things.

The guy is mental.

Just continues to show his immaturity, even now.
Sour grapes that a guy who was once a power house receiver in the league was never once voted by his own teammates as a captain.

Oh he’ll get snagged up alright, and it’s gonna be by a team in our division.
We'll see.

Hopefully somebody who needs a WR signs him before the draft.

That way we get a better shot at a WR we want in the draft.

I suspect he will sign after the draft when his value will decrease.

Garrett is a big problem for sure and until he gets fired this team will stay at 8-8 and 9-7 seasons or will always get eliminated in the first round of the playoffs if they manage to get into the playoffs.

As for Dez we'll see if he is going to produce better with another team, if that team's QB will feel the need to give him the ball to keep him happy and how he will handle games where he isn't getting the ball that much. And of course the sports media is going to love the drama going on between Dez and the Cowboys right now. They'll feed off of Dez talking trash against his former team mates. Even though I won't mind it if Dez exposes Garrett's lack of coaching talent, since the front office refuses to hold Garrett accountable for his failures.

Calling out a future HOF player for going to the head coach and telling him the player nonsense has to stop in no way has to do with what Witten or Lee do on the field.

And Lee is still the heart of this defense. Witten, well he kinda needs to go too.

I have a feeling that once Romo left, the player thought that it was his team now. Sadly, only he thought that. And the team finally got tired of him thinking that. So see ya.
You guys get fiery mixed. High caliber players are fiery. This team needs that. You see, that type of attitude is needed in order to win. Either the fiery attitude comes from the head coach / other coaches or the player(s)- but someone has to look light the fire. We have to many professionals, nice guys, quite leaders.

Dak also was quoted saying he wanted Dez back few weeks before the start of free agency. In fact, he the only I know to go on record his public support for Dez.
I think Romo and Witten said the same thing along with JG when TO was shown the door.

They follow up this FO buffoonery to draft a WR with 1st or 2nd rounder that may be on par with Hurns who really is not a #1 WR would take the cake of mishandling a position so poorly in one off season. Most of the WR in this draft are somewhere between Twill and Hurns, definitely not worth a premium draft pick.

Really.?

You should look at the film on the WR and judge..

not just decide you are right no matter what.

The art of building a team is not through using #1 picks to solve every position.

I would prefer not drafting one..

but the front office had little choice given they knew Dez would not take a meaningful pay cut.

Not sure how you justify blaming the team.

This was all Dez's doing.

My opinion only but I doubt Dak is involved as a 3rd year player. It's more likely to be Lee, Crawford and Witten who've been around awhile and I can't imagine like the distractions. Linehan the coach.

Like I have been saying all along... The cancer has been removed....

Now watch him reveal his true self now that he no longer has any incentive to keep his idiocy inside.
This coming from the man who wore T.O.'s jock on his head.

The entire league's cancer. Learn your lesson, Bleu? ;)

Quite frankly, this is a sad indictment of where Dez is today in terms of mindset. You nailed it. He could have easily taken the high road. Instead, he's out to exact some sort of revenge. move on dude. This isn't romper room.

Truly sad. I anticipate him doing the full media circuit and taking full advantage of anyone willing to stick a mic in his pie hole... or actually let them take advantage of him... Get ready to hear him bash every corner of the franchise he apparently loves deeply.

Even that awesome janitor that outed him from the inside...

Perhaps his next QB will throw it nicely into his helmet regularly.

I want to shake that janitor's hands.

Couldn't agree more unfortunately... :hammer:

You know.... I have deliberately left the Dez crap behind. It's over & done with. I left it where it belongs... Back there on Friday when it happened.

But ppl like yourself poke & prod....

All I will say is... Now you know how it feels.

T.O. is, was, and will forever remain that dog. Send him out alone and he will handle business. No pack mentality there.
