Fine... So we cut one of the better players in our franchises history because of that without even offering a pay cut?

I told you Catch, that I didn’t want Dez cut. I would have much preferred they found a way to keep him.

I’m just saying he wasn’t innocent in all of this.

In the Seattle game, Dez and I were one. This "golly gee, get them next time" attitude does not belong at the pro level. Pee Wee football hands out particpation trophies, some of our players are better equipped for that level of play.

The team was winning when he threw his tantrum.

Then he dropped the ball (literally) and gave the Seahawks a huge momentum swing.

Dez was no hero that day. And he was definitely in the wrong.

it absolutely does, and specifically in this context.
Why? If what he's doing is bothering, or distracting his teammates to the point of them walking away... we've even seen gifs and vids of him getting in so many teammates faces angrily. Being separated from Witten...
We've seen him screaming at Romo, Romo tells him to come here and he stalks away, only to come back to scream and throw his finger in his face some more.
All while Tony's trying to go over the playbook with Linehan.

Does it matter if he was saying "Heck yeah Tony! You were great!"?

what'd you hear though? the whole point is that we've "seen" a ton, and time and time again it's been proven to be something other than what was run with. but yes, it's over and done with.
I'll have to find the specific time and play, but the last time we played in Buffalo, I was right behind their bench and saw Dez getting upset with Dooley, Witten and Romo. Dez said 2 or 3 times (Rather loud and clear) that he's "open every play, give me the ball."
Against the lions Witten was pointing at the clock and they were yelling at each other. There was still time, but Dez was done.
I remember that game clearly because I was behind them. tie game with a few seconds left and Dez packed it in. Ware in streets clothes tried to calm him down, but the damage was done.

I don't know if you have ever played a team sport but you can feel momentum begin to slip away due to plays, patterns, and coaching. Dez is not the best communicator, but he does know a puddy cat when he sees one. Ironically, he just cannot recognize when he is the "meow".

Same logic you presented though. If we are cutting everyone who hasn't been good for the last 3 years. That list can get pretty long lol
Witten is playing fine and is a great leader. there's a difference. If we had a better TE I'm all for it. This isn't about that. This is about for performance, high salary, poor attitude and complete lack of focus. Everything is everyone elses fault.

Come on, against the Lions there was no way the Cowboys were going to pull that off.

So you're justifying the way Dez acted during his meltdown? If there's time to play you act like a professional and work until the end. You don't buckle and act like a 5 year old.
The time left wasn't the point. It's very typical for some fans to ignore things to defend their beloved.

I just heard some of the audio from the Washington game on the radio.

Dez was holding up 2 fingers yelling out how they ran cover 1 twice.

Cut to the Fox announcer showing Dez looking angry, holding up 2 fingers, and the announcer says he's upset about only getting thrown to twice.

The false narrative that was put out there about this guy and pushed by the guys calling these games is disgusting and a lot of you bought it.

I can't find the audio of that specific incident but here is a link to some of the audio of Garrett, JErry, ect..

http://podcast.radio.com/audio/ben-skin/

You are the one who has this backwards..there is an entire piece out today outlining how much of a baby 88 is and it will come to light during the Amazon premier..

And to be clear..he was holding two fingers up bc it was 2 plays in a row where he was singled up and didn't get the ball..so he was crying about getting zero targets...

Comprehension is not deadly. No where did I defend his rant. I stated, "There was no way the below average Cowboys were going to pull that win off." I personally, have never liked Dez. He should have never worn "88". His consistency would mean more to me than his TD record or his "X" sign.

I never said you did, I said "some fans" specifically not to generalize. Otherwise I would have simply said "you."
