Not a bad price at all, but i think a very good one will be around 1000 and up. As you said it is about the fabric of your choice.Alan David in NY is a great place.
Thanks i will have to research that. I always think i'm going to lose weight (optimistic) so i spend more on shoes rather than suits. The most expensive suit i have is like $500. I don't think its a good idea to have suits worked on more than once but that's just me.

MW is doing custom ones for about 400 atm. I'm not sure the quality of the material. Brooks Brothers also does one for about 700.
I have 2 suits, both from MW. They didn't tailor them, but I doubt I'd have the patience for that anyway. I think the total was around $800, with a buy 1/get 1 deal.

All of mine are from the rack. I won't go with a custom tailored suit till i lose like 30lbs. I keep telling myself that and i never actually lose the weight.
you can make one not so expensive now and you will notice that it fits you much better than the one from the rack.

That's their usual pricing. I bought my first two suits from them at the same price. If you check their website from time to time those same suits are sold separately for like 200 a piece. Like three or four times a year.

Since this thread will not go back to it's initial intent (highjacked) i guess i will play along with the flow of it all.

I think some people here don't even know how to put a suit on properly and i think that's a sad state of mind to be stuck in.

The day is soon coming when they will have to put on a suit and if they would have taken the time to learn something in this life that suit might have actually looked good on them and felt comfortable at the same time.

Oh well.

Oh ya i almost forgot. Go Cowboys!
Oh,come on bro!,,,I've 3-4 of those white frilly ruffle chest shirts, those kind worn with a cummerbund( my buddy bought a storage locker @ auction packed full of formal wear) I will wear them in July/August when it's the hottest outside while hauling mortar sand in a dump truck,,, cuff links& pirate bandana ensembles included:thumbup:

These weren't any particular suits for that price. It was buy any suit, get another of equal or lesser value.

I own two suits and will never buy another. I got a really good one that is gray for 2K and a cheap black one that was about $200. I rarely wear one and when that need arises, I got it covered

I am more of a toes in the water and butt on the sand kind of guy. I prefer casual and beachwear whenever possible

Shifting to shoes. I been buying all my shoes from AE over the last 3 years. I been looking for other very good hand made shoes for similar pricing.

Any proper suggestions appreciated.

Oh, you would have to ask. It has been at least 15 years but I think it was from JOS A Bank but I might be wrong. It was either there or Brooks Brothers........
It still fits? You keep fit? lot of swimming i guessing. I need to do the same, age is getting the better of me. :(
