Bahahaha Switzer had a lot of fan boys for no reason here

Switzer had a lot of fans based on his excellent college career and destroying our secondary in practices. His problem was that he never had a chance to show this in games due to the OC. But even if he did get playing time the noodle armed, innacurate Qb we have here probably couldn’t get the ball to him anyway, Bahahahaha indeed.

The coaching staff did not know how to use him

I love it when people make unprovable claims to disparage others.

Switzer missed all of TC. We were already 4 deep at WR with Dez, TWill, Bease, and Butler. The Cowboys know how to use Beasley and they are about as similar as players get in terms of skillset.

What practices would those be since he missed all of TC and we do not get to see any of the others?

If bad run d can be caused by the lack of one player it sure as hell can also be caused by one players horrible play. Not saying it happened but your premise is bs.

It's possible that Ward was the cause of the poor Oakland run defense. TBH, I don't know. I do think (not necessarily know) that when Lee was out our run defense sucked. And when he played (except that Denver game when everyone stunk) it was all right. Would I have loved to see Vita Vea wearing the star? Dang tootin.

Yeah, his contract runs out after this year though, while Switzer was signed for the next 3. I figured we could get two years starting out of him.

That's one reason why I saw Bease being the one to go. On the flip side 2 out of three years here have been much better than anticipated. He either gets back to the first two years or he flounders for another. Preferably the former

I only see changes on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball as stephen has mandated. The release of dez was a harbinger of things to come. It's about time.

I'm thinking Switzer was Bisaccia's pet cat in the draft.

Now they are both Raiders.

Good point. He definitely was drafted to some extent because of his return skills ... and I think he's going to be a pretty solid punt returner.

Switzer was a bum that cost us the Rams game. Good riddance, but what a waste of a 4th

Low risk move that could be good for both teams. Neither player probably makes the roster on their orig teams.

Switzer lost his return duties to Austin and Thompson and it is clear now they didn't believe he could replace Switzer.

Outside of being a so-so returner, Switzer could barely get 3rd-string reps in the regular offense.

No surprise here.

Good. I grew sick of hearing how, "fearless", Switzer was.

Maybe it wasn't fearlessness. Maybe it was just poor judgement. Maybe it was an understanding that guys who are 5'8" need to constantly justify their roster spot because the moment they aren't making plays is right about the time that they get their walking papers. Maybe it was some combination of the three.

Whatever it is, lets just call it a synonym for, "liability". A liability that Dallas cannot afford. Good luck to him and I wish him the best. I root for guys who "shouldn't be there". The guy Seattle drafted today is going to be on my radar all year. I guess I'm a sucker for the underdogs.

I hope Switzer has a productive career in Oakland or wherever else he may land, but I will not shed a tear when someone else takes the field to return kicks and punts.
