I agree, but you seemed worked up enough to ask the question.

I just don't like hypocrisy and racism. Both seem to be at work here some of the time. Irritating.

Where is everyone complaining that he is undersized?

All the T.J. Watt haters who said he was too small at 6'4" and 252?

This guy is 6'4" and 257. Almost identical.

Not his size I'm worried about its whether he'll ever get his speed back. Had a 4.87 40 plus only 1.5 sacks in 2017 (10 sacks in 2016). Which year was the outlier?

Was also not the blue chip prospect Sweat was coming out of HS. Sweat was projected to be a top 5 pick before his injury.

TJ Watt also only had one double digit sack season too (11.5 in 2016) but impressed at combine with 4.6 40 and 37 very. Best of all, not injured.

Jerry just said at the post-draft presser that last night they were looking to trade up into the 3rd round to get Armstrong. Glad that didn't happen since they got him anyway.

Wonder what happened to where he went from 10 sacks to 1.5?

Kansas switched to a 3-4 early last season due to injuries. They asked him to put on weight and play a different role than he did in 2016. He's not going to do that in Dallas. His role will be more like 2016 than 2017.

Because they think interior DL are worthless. At this point it's moved beyond joke to fact, the don't give a damn about the interior.
Well as much money as they e paid Crawford and David Irving....I don't think it's a lack of care when it comes to the interior.

Acquiring lesser talent doesn't make Irving and Crawford cheaper. Both those guys could be gone next year .

What do you mean? THey both could be gone next year. My point is....people saying they don't care about the interior. They have spent resources there. ITs the fascination fans have with a 350 pound 1tech.

Sweat’s injury was in high school. He only missed one game in college. How was he a projected Top 5 pick in high school?

Watt also had an extensive injury history. That’s a reason some teams didn’t like him.

He was a blue chip prospect with crazy measurables. Every school coveted him. Was timed running 4.4 multiple times prior to injury.

His junior year he was ESPN number one ranked prospect of any position compared to Clowney in size explosion and play.

In the 2 games before he blew out his knee, he accumulated 8 sacks. 2 games, 8 sacks. After he recovered his senior year, he was still rated the 11th best prospect by ESPN.

He played 3 years with FSU but the knee injury and ACL tears usually take 2 years for full recovery. He's definitely regained his athleticism and explosiveness.

4.53 40 and 40 vert compared to Armstrong's 4.87 40 and 30 vert. Sweat also has greater wingspan, bigger hands and better technique.

Ok, so I did a little googling about his ACL. Seems like it was a fairly minor strain/sprain or super slight tear- that is much better than what Sean Lee had (which was a pretty serious tear).

Per this article he was back playing pretty well pretty quick and it happened in his best year 2016. So, his drop off last year might better be explained by scheme change and being targetted for double teams more than ACL recovery. His speed should be back by now, perhaps he doesn't test all that well, but is quicker on the field. Regardless, I am less worried about ACL after reading this.

In a stretch/minor sprain the ligament fibers don't separate, and they can tighten back - with a real "tear", even if not completely torn, my understanding (and my experience) is the ligament fibers don't bind back together although scar tissue can hold them together, it is nowhere near same strength and the join is less stable until surgery is performed. Doesn't sound like Armstrongs ACL is like this at all - so I doubt he has lingering affects or high risk in that knee anymore.

GRADE: 3rd Round (#96 overall)
Drafted in the 4th at 166 means he was a good value pick.

He will be a practice squad guy who is ready to challenge for a spot on the 53 in a year.

A bigger and stronger and smarter version of Armstrong is one I'm anxious to see in preseason next year.

From 10 sacks to 1.5 sacks and it has nothing to do with injury? That complete drop off in production plus his really poor measurables having nothing to do with injury actually worry me more now.
