MLB Regular Season

Houston took 2 out of 3 against Oakland.

The team is just rolling along and the offense is starting to percolate.

The minor league teams are doing very well having a combined 55-34 record... Meaning there's still plenty of talent down on the farm.

I see the Angels relievers are leading the league in innings-pitched which ain't a good thing... They'll be toast by the All-Star game.

And the Astros BP is mediocre at best. I'm disappointed Luhnow didn't do a better job there in the off-season. Devo and Harris are solid, but the rest are shaky or worse. The key will be how well McHugh continues in relief. I'm hoping he can be flipped for a good LH reliever.

Mediocre at best?

Right now their bullpen has a 2.80 ERA which is the 2nd best in the AL.

It's really bad, Mike. They've pitched ~12 games, just the relievers. We've only played 28.

We need this kid, Griffin Canning, to get his arse up here. Drafted last year out of UCLA, he's already at AA. #2-3 kind of stuff, hopefully he skips AAA once he figures out AA (he just got the call up a couple weeks ago, he's looked decent).

We won't have players with arms attached to their bodies by July. We already killed Ramirez. Shoemaker is on the ropes. :(

Real impressed with the Yankees and Boston so far. The Angels caught the Tribe when they were still figuring out their season, they're probably better than I've noticed. But the Yanks and Boston have deep rosters. And top-end pitching as well as depth. The Stros are the class of the AL, tho. I still don't see them winning less than 100. I can't believe the Angels took 2/3 in the midst of their crash to earth

Thanks to Harris and Devo. Rondon and McHugh haven't been bad but I'm not sure about them keeping it up. Giles and Smith seldom pitch clean innings. Sipp flat out stinks. At least our rotation is lights out.

.084 era so far.
