read an article today that the Yankees are preparing to go all out for Bryce Harper. If that happens just let the Yankees go play by themselves. That would just be sick. I mean seriously, How is that even fair?

do fans even think twice about just getting any player they want with no concern for any kind of competition. No wonder the Yankees are hated.
They don't have room for Harper......maybe Machado if they dump Didi

Much rather get Degrom or Synndegard

Why have I wasted my life being a Mets fan? Seriously, if I had to do it all over, I would have never watched the 69 World Series and fell in love those loveable losers. So many things in life I can say If I knew then what I know now and that is surely one of them.

Miguel Cabrera out the rest of the season...

http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...igers-remainder-season-ruptured-biceps-tendon

Tiger's not only owe him for the rest of this season, but an additional $160 mil through 2023.

As bad as Albert's contract is with the Angels... This monstrosity the Tiger's then GM saddled that team with... Horrible mismanagement.

And it's not like this is the first long, expensive contract that has blown up in a team's face (looking at you Yankees, Red Sox, Ranger's & Marlins).

That contract will strangle the Tiger's payroll for years.

Funny reading the Detroit Tiger's forum and folks lamenting the fact the Tiger's wasted the careers of Verlander and Cabrara by not winning the World Series.

Baseball attendance is down 7% this season...

https://mlb.nbcsports.com/2018/06/1...ttendance-continues-to-fall-gee-i-wonder-why/

The article relates it to too many teams "tanking" and the great separation between the "Elite" and the also-rans.

I think a lot of it simply has to do with it being a boring game at this point.

Every at bat seems to end with either strikeout, walk or a homerun. Plays in the field are at a low. Stolen bases are few and far between.

Oh and then there are the seemingly endless pitching changes.

It's just not an entertaining game right now.

That's good, this way when the Yankees beat them in the playoffs there won't be any excuses.

The Yankees could beat them... The Yankees have a terrific club.

I think Houston is a wee bit better due to the starting staff.

That being said the Yankees have to take care of business with Boston or they'll be in a one-game wild card battle that no team wants to be in.

Indeed, plus the Yankees might need the home field advantage throughout the playoffs if they want to win the WS.
