Ok, I get why people don't like him. He's a diva and a crybaby. But here's why I like this. It was reported that he's not done with his money (his fault, if true) and that the Hall of Fame thing is quite spendy for the inductees. Given that, why would you want to give any money to the NFL if things are indeed, tight? What's the one thing I dislike more than TO? Goodell and the NFL as a corporation. His "selfish" stand is actually a good thing.

Because most folks just want people to do things their way or what they feel is “right” for some odd reason and when someone goes against that, their emotions flare up like Vegas lights.

It’s not wrong in anyway, it’s his right to do it his way, they treated him how they wanted during the process, and it was wrong the way they did it. He’s doing exactly what he should do, he standing by or doing what he believes in , that’s what you teach. The HOF process is a joke. The only reason people are up in arms is because it’s T.O, if it was any other person it wouldn’t be an issue.

Madden's Hall of Fame edition features Owens' on its cover. I am very interested seeing whether Owens' business relationship with EA Sports shall prosper or suffer from his current actions.

It's not about the HOF process. It's about the brotherhood of elite players he's joining.
But hey, T.O. is T.O., so it's no surprise really. I will say that it's a nice touch, him going
back to his alma-mater.

....am I supposed to be mad at him about this? He obviously wasn't a first ballot for little to nothing he did on the field. The guy is a top 5-top 10 receiver all time in the NFL and wasn't a first ballot because he was a diva.

He can hold this any place he wants, he and no other player has any obligation to do what the NFL wants them to do after they are retired.

It's the same thing if Simeon Rice ever gets into the HOF after years of NFL people telling him he was just a "one trick pony" who needed Sapp do anything productive and he gives the NFL the middle finger.
